Senior PHP Developer / Technical Lead

Remote (Philippines) | Full-Time | Attractive Remuneration Package

We are an Australian financial services company that develops and maintains proprietary software platforms used by financial advisers across Australia.

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer who enjoys solving business problems, taking ownership, and contributing to technical decisions. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the ongoing development of our platforms and the integration of AI-powered solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain PHP-based applications.
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements.
- Design and implement new features and system improvements.
- Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making.
- Integrate AI and automation capabilities into existing systems.
- Mentor and support other developers.
- Recommend solutions that deliver real business value.

Essential Skills:

- 8+ years commercial PHP development experience.
- Strong Laravel experience.
- MySQL database design and optimisation.
- REST API development and integration.
- Git version control.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Highly Desirable:

- Experience with OpenAI, Claude, Azure AI, or similar AI tools.
- Cloud platform experience.
- Technical leadership experience.
- Software architecture and solution design.
- Experience working with Australian or international clients.
