JOB OVERVIEW

Legacy Growth Consulting is looking for an experienced software developer to rebuild a real mobile application for one of our U.S. clients.

This is not a practice project or a startup idea.

You'll be building an application that will be used by real children, therapists, and clinics across the United States. The app will be submitted to the App Store and maintained long-term after launch. The role, project scope, compensation, and long-term opportunity reflect the original hiring brief.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We're rebuilding an existing application from the ground up after outgrowing a no-code platform.

The application includes:

Mobile app development
Video-based learning experiences
User progression and age-based logic
Therapist controls and premium features
Subscription functionality
App Store deployment
Long-term maintenance and future feature development

Current technology stack:

Claude Code
GitHub
Vercel
Supabase

If you have strong reasons to recommend a different technical approach, we're happy to hear it.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This role is for experienced software developers.

We're NOT looking for someone who only knows how to prompt AI.

We use AI every single day and expect you to use it too.

But we're looking for someone who understood software engineering before AI could write code.

You should be able to recognize when AI-generated code is incorrect, explain why it's incorrect, and confidently fix it.

Requirements:

You were writing production code before AI coding assistants became mainstream.
3+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience shipping at least one mobile application.
Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, authentication, databases, debugging, and state management.
Experience with GitHub and version control.
Comfortable using AI development tools without depending on them.
Excellent written English.
Available for full-time work with some overlap with U.S. business hours.
