JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Senior Meta Ads Specialist / Performance Marketing Engineer (Remote / Full Time)

Company: ----------

Who We Are
At GMU.online, we build scalable, managed SaaS solutions that engineer profitable and predictable growth for e-commerce entrepreneurs. We don't just run ads; we automate the entire performance marketing loop, from product data feeds and catalog management to cross-channel campaign optimization, through our own proprietary platform. We enable high volume web shops to focus on their product while our technology stack systematically maximizes their return on ad spend.

Your Role: Architect of Meta Performance
We are looking for a Senior Meta Ads Specialist (8+ years experience) who functions as a Performance Marketing Engineer. This is not a "launch and monitor" role. You are a hands on performance architect who will own, dissect, and scale our clients' Meta and other social advertising results. You combine deep technical execution in the Meta ecosystem with a datadriven mindset for automation, relentlessly building smarter configurations that outperform standard campaigns.

You will work at the intersection of paid social and data science, leveraging our proprietary Data Engine and Feed Automation Systems to turn complex ecommerce data into a competitive advantage on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and other social ads platforms.

Your Technical Arena: What You'll Build & Optimize
1. Meta Ads Engineering & Structure

Full Funnel Architecture: Design and manage complex, high-volume campaign structures beyond basic CBO’s. You'll architect multi-layered prospecting, retargeting, and dynamic product ad (DPA) strategies that align with the customer journey.

Advanced Bidding & Automation: Mastery of Meta's bidding algorithms (Value Optimization, Cost Cap, Bid Cap) to hit strict ROAS/POAS targets. You will use automated rules and external scripts to manage bid adjustments, budget pacing, and alerting at scale.

2. E-commerce Data & Catalog Mastery

Facebook
Catalog & Feed Management: You don't just upload a feed; you optimize it. Deep experience with tools like Channable, Feedonomics, or DataFeedWatch to improve product data specifically for Meta. You leverage custom labels to create granular product segmentation (e.g., by margin, sell-through rate, seasonality) directly within the catalog.

Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) Strategy: You build sophisticated DPA sets that dynamically show the right product to the right user based on their browsing behavior, purchase history, and real-time inventory levels. You understand how to structure product sets for maximum relevance and conversion.

3. Conversion Tracking & Measurement Infrastructure

Server-Side Tracking & CAPI: You have deep knowledge of implementing and troubleshooting Meta's Conversions API (CAPI) . You understand how to set up deduplication between the browser pixel and server-side events to ensure data integrity in a cookieless world.

Tag Management (GTM): You are highly proficient in Google Tag Manager, configuring complex dataLayer variables, custom triggers, and advanced e-commerce tracking to feed clean, granular conversion data back to Meta for optimization.

Attribution & Incrementality: You move beyond last-click. You analyze attribution windows, understand the impact of view-through vs. click-through conversions, and can design holdout tests to measure the true incrementality of Meta campaigns.

4. Automation & Workflow Efficiency

Scripts & Integrations: You are comfortable using scripts and APIs to automate reporting and consolidate data fro ---------- ta, Webshops and Google Analytics 4 into a single source of truth.

AI-Driven Optimization: You leverage AI co-pilots for ad copy generation, creative testing concepts, and predictive forecasting. You are curious about how LLMs can automate audience analysis and campaign brief generation.

We’re looking for:
Experience: 8-10+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) + other paid social performance marketing for e-commerce.

ROAS/POAS Optimization: A proven track record of optimizing not just for ROAS, but for Profit on Ad Spend (POAS) , managing bids based on product-level margin data.

Data Fluency: You are comfortable querying data in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to build audiences, analyze user behavior, and validate tracking. You can translate raw e-commerce data (SQL knowledge is a plus) into actionable audience and bidding strategies. You know how to connect datalayers to Google Tag Manager.

Ownership & Strategy: You don't just execute tasks; you own the growth trajectory. You proactively identify scaling opportunities, diagnose performance anomalies, and present data-backed strategies to internal teams and international clients.

Innovation Culture: You dedicate time to R&D, testing new Meta betas, AI creative tools, and audience modeling techniques and share your findings to elevate the entire team's knowledge.

Your Technical Toolkit
Core Platforms: Meta Business Suite (Ads Manager, Business Manager, Events Manager), Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM).

Feed & Catalog: Channable, Feedonomics, DataFeedWatch, or native Facebook Catalog setup with custom labels.

Tracking & Measurement: Conversions API (CAPI) , Server-Side Tagging, Google Sheets (for data analysis), Looker Studio (for dashboards).

Automation: Google Ads Scripts, Supermetrics/Power My Analytics, API integrations for data flow.

AI & Innovation: Practical application of generative AI (e.g., Midjourney for creative inspiration, ChatGPT for copy at scale) and machine learning concepts for audience forecasting.

What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
Multi-Platform Synergy: Experience integrating Meta strategies with other channels (e.g., TikTok, Pinterest, Google PMax) for a holistic view.

Machine Learning Knowledge: Understanding of how ML models power bidding and how to structure campaigns to feed them optimal data.

International Scale: Proven success scaling Meta ads across multiple currencies, languages, and time zones for global e-commerce brands.
