Blue Kite Wellness is a reputable and rapidly expanding behavioral health organization dedicated to providing high-quality services to individuals and communities. We provide mental and behavioral health care to clients across Illinois. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Mental Health Biller to join our offshore team. This role requires strong English communication skills, as you will interact with U.S. insurance agencies, clinicians, and administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
> Prepare and submit claims for mental health services (telehealth, diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, IM+CANS, H codes).
> Manage primary and secondary claim submissions across multiple insurance carriers.
> Ensure claims include proper documentation and modifiers according to payer guidelines.
> Track and manage follow-up tasks, including claim corrections, pending authorizations, and missing documentation.
> Support submission of appeals within timely filing limits.
> Collaborate with U.S.-based clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing questions and discrepancies.
> Mentor or guide junior billing staff as needed.
Qualifications:
> Proven experience in mental health billing, including outpatient and clinic services.
> Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and mental health-specific codes (IM+CANS, H codes, psychotherapy, telehealth).
> Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple billing tasks and deadlines.
> Excellent English communication skills for interacting with U.S. teams and insurance agencies.
> Available to work within the 8AM - 5PM CST timeframe.
Preferred:
> Familiarity with U.S. Medicaid, MCO, or commercial insurance billing.
> Experience with wraparound programs or behavioral health-specific billing procedures.
> Prior experience in a senior or leadership role in billing.
