JOB OVERVIEW

Engagement Overview

Simour Design is seeking an experienced Interior Design Contractor to support the development of design concepts and documentation for high-end medical and commercial interior projects across the United States.

This is a remote independent contractor engagement. The contractor will provide interior design services on a project or ongoing engagement basis and retain discretion over the manner and timing of completing the services, while coordinating with the Simour team during an overlapping collaboration window.

For project coordination, we collaborate during a 3–6 PM Mon to Fri, PT window.

Simour Design specializes in designing high-end medical interiors throughout the United States. Our work focuses on creating environments that are functional, brand-aligned, and compliant with U.S. codes and healthcare standards.

Scope of Services

The selected contractor will support interior design development and documentation for medical design projects. Services may include:

• Developing design concepts, moodboards, and presentation materials aligned with client's brand identity
• Preparing floor plans, finish schedules, and FF&E specifications with ADA and U.S. code considerations
• Supporting the design team with documentation during project development phases
• Coordinating with vendors, consultants, and visualization teams when required for project deliverables
• Preparing drawing sets, design documentation, and cost-related information as needed
• Supporting project documentation and design coordination throughout the design process

Deliverables and timelines will be defined per project engagement.

Desired Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or healthcare interior design
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-end commercial or hospitality-style interiors
• Familiarity with ADA requirements and U.S. building code considerations
• Experience specifying commercial-grade FF&E
• Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and project consultants
