About the Role
We are a US-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) seeking a skilled and motivated IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is a unique blend of high-impact project implementation and advanced technical support. You won't just be "fixing PC’s"—you’ll be building environments, automating workflows, and ensuring our clients’ infrastructure is rock solid.
If you are a proactive problem-solver who thrives on documentation, automation, and delivering "white-glove" service, we want to meet you.
What Success Looks Like
-In this role, you aren’t just closing tickets; you’re improving the ecosystem. Success in the first 6 months looks like:
-Precision Execution: Escalated tickets are resolved permanently with "zero-leak" documentation, ensuring the issue never -returns.
-Standardization: Server builds and workstation deployments follow consistent, repeatable SOPs every single time.
-Automation First: You leverage PowerShell and RMM automation to eliminate "reactive noise" and recurring manual tasks.
-Quiet Confidence: After-hours support and high-pressure outages are handled with a calm, professional, and controlled -demeanor.
-Knowledge Sharing: Other technicians resolve tickets faster because of the documentation and tools you built.
Key Responsibilities
-Advanced Support: Provide L2 technical support for complex hardware, software, and network issues.
-Project Delivery: Plan and implement IT projects (migrations, server refreshes, network overhauls) on time and within scope.
-Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize desktops, Windows Servers, and cloud environments.
-System Maintenance: Proactively manage user equipment, security patches, and backups.
-Documentation: Maintain a "documentation-first" mindset, ensuring our PSA/Knowledge Base is always the single source of truth.
Technical Requirements
-Experience: 4–5 years in a dedicated L2 Support or Systems Administration role (MSP experience preferred).
-Microsoft Stack: Deep knowledge of M365 Administration (Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune, Exchange).
-Infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Hyper-V virtualization.
-Networking: Strong grasp of VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and DNS/DHCP.
-Security: Experience with Firewalls (SonicWall, Fortinet, or Ubiquiti) and EDR/MDR platforms (SentinelOne, Huntress, etc.).
-Scripting: Strong PowerShell ability (you should be comfortable writing scripts, not just running them).
-Tools: Experience with PSA/RMM tools (SyncroMSP/Addigy) and Backup platforms (iDrive/E2).
Mindset & Qualities
-The "AI-Forward" Engineer: Comfortable using tools like ChatGPT to accelerate documentation, coding, and communication.
-Ownership: You don't wait for permission to fix a glaring process gap.
-Communication: Ability to translate "tech-speak" into plain English for our clients.
-Organization: You thrive in a structured environment and hate messy ticket queues.
Why Join Us?
-100% Remote: Work from wherever you are most productive.
-Career Growth: We pay for your certifications and provide structured training to keep your skills sharp.
-Innovation-Driven: We value automation over manual labor. If you find a better way to do something, we’ll listen.
-Supportive Culture: Join a team that values your input and prioritizes work-life balance.
Work Schedule
Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST. 1-hour lunch break included.
