# We Are Hiring: Senior Graphic Designer
We're hiring a **senior-level** freelance graphic designer for a long-term, ongoing, month-to-month role. This is not an entry- or mid-level position — we're looking for a seasoned professional who works independently, catches their own mistakes, and delivers polished, print-ready work with minimal oversight.
## What Senior-Level Means for This Role
You should be able to:
- Manage your own projects and timelines, hitting deadlines without being chased.
- Take a brief and run with it — asking smart clarifying questions up front, then executing without hand-holding.
- Catch and fix small errors in client-supplied content (inconsistent capitalization, awkward line breaks, etc.) as a matter of habit, not as an afterthought.
- Know the difference between "technically correct" and "actually good" — and default to the latter.
- Recognize the edges of your own expertise and flag it early, rather than guessing.
## Required Skills
- Expert-level Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Prepress knowledge: color conversion for print, file packaging, print-ready output.
- Strong typography: rag control, kerning, and overall type craft.
- Real-world client experience — you've worked with brand guidelines, client feedback cycles, and revision requests.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precise adherence to instructions.
- Creative problem-solving, not just execution.
## Bonus Skills
- WordPress, especially DIVI.
- Content writing.
- Illustration.
## Typical Projects
- Website mockups in Photoshop or Figma.
- Print brochure layout (including multipage brochures).
- Print ad design and updates.
- Brand identity design.
## How We Work
- Projects are managed in Trello and typically assigned early in the week.
- Any questions about an assignment should come within a day or two of receiving it.
- All working files live on our shared cloud drive — no local-only files.
- Time is tracked via our time-tracking software.
- You'll be given brand assets, working files, and access to stock image/graphic libraries as needed.
- **Deadlines:** typical internal turnaround is one week per project. Deadlines are firm — we expect every deadline to be hit, with early delivery whenever possible.
- **Time zone:** you set your own working hours. About once or twice a month, you may need to be available for a call or meeting during our overlap window, which may fall as early as 8am or as late as 8pm EST.
- **Software:** you're expected to maintain your own active Adobe Creative Suite subscription. Stock assets and project-specific files are provided by us.
