JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a hands-on senior engineer to build and improve an existing AI-powered outreach/prospecting platform, helping mature it into a secure, scalable B2B SaaS product capable of supporting up to 1,000 users.

This is a highly execution-focused role working directly with the founder. The founder will set the product and technical direction; your responsibility is to turn that direction into a well-built, reliable production system. Put simply: we d ---------- what needs to be built, and you own building it properly.

You’ll work hands-on across the stack, improving the database structure and data model, implementing proper multi-tenant authentication and permissions, hardening the platform for production, and continuously shipping new features and system improvements.

You’ll have significant ownership over implementation and engineering quality, but this is not a CTO or technical strategy role. We’re looking for an excellent builder who can take requirements and technical direction from the founder and execute them independently.

Essential requirements
• 3+ years building and working on production SaaS products, ideally at senior or lead engineer level.
• Strong TypeScript full-stack experience: React, Node.js/Express, APIs, and PostgreSQL.
• Excellent PostgreSQL data modelling, migrations, query performance, indexing, backups, and safe handling of existing customer data.
• Proven experience turning an MVP or existing product into a reliable production SaaS - not just building greenfield demos.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture: organisations/workspaces, user roles, permissions, tenant data isolation, and admin access.
• Strong authentication and security knowledge: RBAC, API authorization, secure session handling, secrets management, rate limiting, and OWASP best practices.
• Experience running production systems: cloud deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, error handling, background jobs, queues, retries, and third-party API integrations.
• Able to take clearly defined product and technical requirements and independently translate them into robust, maintainable implementations.
• Comfortable working directly with a founder in a fast-moving environment, shipping quickly while maintaining strong engineering standards.

Preferred
• Experience with AI/LLM products, CRM, sales outreach, workflow automation, data enrichment, or B2B SaaS.
• Familiarity with React, Vite, Node/Express, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, Clerk/Auth0-style authentication, and OpenAPI/Zod.
• Experience with SaaS billing, analytics, and customer account lifecycle management.

We are not looking for a frontend-only developer, someone who only builds simple websites, or someone looking to define the company's technical strategy. The technical and product direction will come from the founder.

We need a strong senior engineer who can take that direction, understand the desired outcome, and build it - safely improving an existing system, establishing high engineering standards, and taking ownership of implementation from requirement through to production.
