Job Position: Senior Finance & Operations Manager (CPA Preferred)
Location: Remote (Philippines)
Overview
We are a growing Canadian construction and service company looking for someone who wants more than a traditional accounting role.
We're looking for a reliable, proactive, and highly organized professional who can take ownership of our finance and administrative operations. This person will play a key role in helping leadership make informed decisions, maintain healthy cash flow, and ensure the business runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
- Full cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Weekly cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Bank reconciliations and payment scheduling
- Monitor company cash position and flag potential cash flow issues early
- Follow up on outstanding customer payments
- Payroll support and payroll reconciliations
- Budget tracking and financial analysis
- Assist with month end and year end preparation
- Work closely with our Canadian CPA
- Maintain financial records and support compliance requirements
- Assist with HR administration and employee records
- Improve internal processes, documentation, and financial controls
- Keep leadership informed of important deadlines, risks, and priorities
- Help create reports that support business growth and decision making
Who are we looking for
- CPA preferred
- Has experience supporting Canadian companies
- Strong QuickBooks Online experience
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Strong understanding of cash flow management
- Superior proficiency in written and verbal English
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Honest, dependable, and accountable
- Able to manage confidential financial information with integrity
- Comfortable working independently while keeping leadership informed
- Positive attitude and willingness to continuously improve systems
What Success Looks Like
Within the first six months, you will:
- Keep financial records accurate and up to date.
- Ensure payments and payroll are processed on time.
- Maintain reliable cash flow forecasts that support decision making.
- Proactively identify financial risks before they become problems.
- Improve at least two internal processes that increase efficiency or accuracy.
- Become a trusted member of the leadership team through consistency, communication, and accountability.
