SENIOR E-COMMERCE SEO & SHOPIFY SPECIALIST
Full-time, remote, long-term. $1,200 to $1,500/month depending on experience.

ABOUT US

Buzzy Seeds is a US garden brand. We make grow kits that double as gifts:
simple enough that a first-timer actually succeeds, nice enough that you
would happily give one. We sell on Shopify, Amazon and Walmart, with 86
ASINs on Amazon alone and a wider catalogue beyond it.

We are running a three-year plan to grow e-commerce revenue significantly,
and organic search is the core lever. You are the first specialist hire on
this team. You own organic end to end, and as we grow you help train the
people who join after you.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

- Technical SEO on our Shopify store. Our latest audit shows roughly 1,500
errors and 4,500 warnings. Clearing those and keeping them clear is your
first project.
- Site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, canonicals, structured data,
internal linking, redirect hygiene.
- Product pages: structure, on-page copy, schema, conversion elements.
- Shopify theme edits and app choices. You make the changes yourself, you
do not write tickets for someone else.
- AEO and GEO: being findable and citable in AI search, not only Google.
- SEO listing copy on all three channels. Each has its own search logic and
we expect you to know the difference.
- Blog strategy and production, keyword research, backlinks.
- Weekly reporting on organic traffic, rankings and organic revenue.
- From month two, joining our weekly e-commerce meeting and presenting your
own numbers.

WHAT WE NEED

- 4+ years hands-on technical SEO, at least 2 of them on Shopify. Hands-on
means you made the changes, not that you wrote the recommendation.
- You have personally cleared a large technical backlog on a live store and
can show what changed as a result.
- Comfortable in Shopify theme code: Liquid, HTML, CSS, basic JS.
- Excellent written and spoken English. You will write customer-facing copy
and present your own numbers in our weekly meeting.
- You use AI tools as a normal part of your workflow. Tell us which ones and
what you use each for.
- You come with ideas. We do not want someone who waits for a task list. We
want someone who tells us what we are missing.

- Willing to document your work, because you will train the people who join
after you.

NICE TO HAVE

Amazon or Walmart listing experience. GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs or
Semrush, Screaming Frog. Garden, home or seasonal consumer products.

HOURS AND TIME ZONES

I am in the Netherlands, Central European Time. Our office and part of the
team are in Pennsylvania, US Eastern Time.

Day to day you work with me, so we need overlap with 09:00 to 17:00 Central
European Time. You do not need to be online for all of it, and you are free
to keep working after I log off.

Once a week we have an e-commerce meeting with the US team at 14:00 Central
European Time, which is 08:00 US Eastern. From your second month you join
that meeting and present your own numbers. If you are in the Philippines,
that is 20:00 your time, once a week.

- A backlog that is already mapped, so you produce from week one.
- Written procedures, so you are never guessing what good looks like.
- Room to grow. This is the first hire on a team we are building out this
year.
