We're not looking for a video editor.
We're looking for someone who makes people FEEL something in the first 3 seconds of a video. Someone who understands that pacing IS the ad. That silence IS a tool. That the difference between a $20CPA and a $100 CPA is the editor, not the script.
We just proved that with our own data. Same script. Same voiceover. Same everything. Two different editors. One produced a 50% hook rate and $21 cost per acquisition. The other produced $100 CPA on the same words. The editor is the variable. That's why this hire matters more than any other hire we're making right now.
ABOUT US:
We're a multi 8-figure DTC supplement brand based in the US, scaling aggressively on Meta. Our creative team writes scripts that score in the top 1% of direct response copy. We have the words. We need someone who can turn those words into ads that print money.
We're not a startup hoping to figure it out. We have winning ads. We have proven data. We have a creative team with a strategist, copywriters, and a graphic designer. What we need is an editor who can match the energy of what's already winning and help us produce more of it, faster.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Editing 2-3 direct response video ads per day (60-120 seconds each)
- Working with AI voiceovers, AI avatars, UGC footage, and B-roll
- Following detailed editor briefs with timestamps, pacing direction, and emotional peak markers
- Studying our winning ads and replicating the exact pacing, energy, and editing style
- Finding and sourcing realistic B-roll from TikTok and AI tools (no generic stock footage)
- Working directly with our creative strategist and copywriter
- QA-ing every frame — if there's a spelling mistake, a bad clip, or the pacing feels off, YOU catch it before it goes live
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- You understand PACING. Not just cuts. You know when to slow down, when to speed up, when to hold a shot, when to let silence do the work.
- You understand STORYTELLING. Every visual supports the voiceover. Every clip change has a reason. Nothing is random.
- You understand EMOTION. You can watch a reference video and feel what makes it work, not just see the techniques.
- You can clone AI voiceovers and avatars using tools like HeyGen, Higgsfield, ElevenLabs.
- You're proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut Pro.
- You've edited direct response or performance ads before (Meta, TikTok, YouTube). This is NOT a YouTube vlog or wedding video role.
WHAT WE DON'T WANT:
- Someone who waits to be told every move. We give you a brief and reference videos. You bring the creative vision.
- Someone who just assembles clips. That's a VA, not an editor.
- Someone who over-edits. Our best ads are raw, real, and minimal. Not flashy.
- Someone who can't take feedback. We push hard because the standard is high. If you take feedback personally instead of using it to get better, this isn't the role for you.
COMPENSATION:
- Base: $2,000 - $2,500 USD/month (based on experience)
- Performance bonuses up to $5,000/month based on ad performance (ad spend thresholds + ROAS targets)
- Your income has no ceiling here. If your videos produce winners, you make more money. Period.
- Compensation review every 4 months with potential 15-25% increases
WHY THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM EVERY OTHER VIDEO EDITOR JOB:
- You're not editing content for a small brand hoping to grow. You're editing for a brand that's already spending serious money on ads and needs MORE winning creative.
- You work directly with a creative strategist who provides detailed briefs with emotional direction, not just "make it look nice."
- Your videos go live within days and you can see the RESULTS of your work in real time. Hook rates. Hold rates. CPA. You get direct feedback from the ad account on whether your edit worked.
- This is a career, not a gig. We're building a team for the long term and the right editor becomes one of the most important people in this company.
