We are hiring an experienced Civil 3D drafter/designer to support U.S. commercial site development projects.
This is not an entry level drafting role. We are looking for someone who already knows how to produce high-quality commercial civil plan sets and can work confidently in AutoCAD Civil 3D with minimal supervision.
Experience matters more than degree or licensure. If you have strong hands-on experience drafting U.S. commercial site plans, we want to hear from you.
What you will do
• Prepare complete commercial site civil plan sets
• Draft and develop:
• site layout plans
• grading plans
• utility plans
• erosion control plans
• plan/profile sheets for water, sewer, and paving
• civil details and construction notes
• Build and edit surfaces, profiles, alignments, and grading elements in Civil 3D
• Assist with drainage layouts, stormwater exhibits, and drafting support for drainage reports
• Prepare exhibits, redline revisions, permit revisions, and drawing updates
• Support the team with drafting, estimating, quantity takeoffs, and other project-related tasks as needed
• Maintain organized project files, CAD standards, and sheet setups
• Help turn markups and direction from our team into clean, accurate, buildable plans
Must-have experience:
• 5+ years of drafting/design experience in commercial site development
• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills
• Real experience on U.S. commercial projects
• Ability to produce grading plans, utility plans, and plan/profile sheets
• Strong understanding of typical U.S. site development plan sets and commercial civil drafting standards
• Able to read redlines, ask smart questions, and work independently
• Good written English and reliable communication during work hours
Nice to have:
• Experience with drainage reports or stormwater drafting support
• Familiarity with tools such as HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or ICPR
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, estimating, or construction support
• Residential subdivision work experience
• EIT/PE is welcome, but not required
Important:
• Degree is not required
• License is not required
• We care most about real experience, quality of work, speed, and accuracy
What success looks like in this role:
• You can take a marked-up set and turn it into clean, organized sheets
• You understand how commercial sites go together, not just how to draw lines
• You catch drafting conflicts before they become problems
• You can support a fast-moving team with drafting, takeoffs, revisions, and production work
• You can work with minimal hand-holding and meet deadlines
Work schedule
• 40 hours per week
• Remote
• Our office hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Time. More overlap is preferred when possible, but we are flexible for the right candidate.

Benefits & employment
• $1,200–$2,700/month, negotiated on experience
• Full-time, 40 hours per week remote
