Senior Bookkeeper & Financial Forecasting Specialist
Employment: Part-Time / Contract, with potential for long-term engagement
Location: Warner Robins, GA / Hybrid or Remote Considered
Reports To: Business Owner
*Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Financial Forecasting Specialist to manage the financial records of multiple businesses, improve financial reporting, develop forecasts, and help prepare the companies for bank, SBA, and commercial financing.
This is not a basic data-entry bookkeeping role. The ideal candidate can clean up books, analyze financial performance, identify issues, explain financial results clearly, and provide recommendations that improve profitability, cash flow, and financing readiness.
*Key Responsibilities
-Maintain and clean up bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.
-Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly.
-Properly categorize income, expenses, owner transactions, loans, transfers, and intercompany activity.
-Maintain accurate books for multiple related businesses.
-Prepare monthly and YTD P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, A/R, A/P, debt schedules, and budget-to-actual reports.
-Explain financial results and key issues to the business owner in plain language.
-Develop 12-, 24-, and 36-month financial forecasts and cash-flow projections.
-Prepare budgets, break-even analyses, profitability reviews, and growth scenarios.
-Analyze debt capacity and Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR).
-Review financial statements from a lender/underwriter perspective.
-Identify financial weaknesses that could affect loan approval.
-Prepare lender-ready financial packages and supporting documentation.
-Assist with bank, SBA, and commercial loan preparation.
-Coordinate with CPAs, tax professionals, bankers, and lenders as needed.
-Recommend ways to improve cash flow, profitability, financial controls, and financing readiness.
*Qualifications
Required:
-3–5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
-Strong QuickBooks Online experience.
-Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
-Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
-Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
-Strong reconciliation and bookkeeping cleanup experience.
-Excellent accuracy, organization, confidentiality, and ability to work independently.
*Preferred:
-SBA, bank, or commercial loan preparation experience.
-Commercial lending or underwriting knowledge.
-Fractional CFO or accounting/CPA firm experience.
-QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
-Experience preparing lender financial projections.
-Experience managing multiple related companies.
-Experience in real estate, mortgage, tax, professional services, consulting, or property management.

-The initial priorities will be to:
-Review and clean up existing books and accounting processes.
-Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts through the current month.
-Produce accurate current and YTD financial statements.
-Review cash flow, profitability, debt, and prior financials/tax returns.
-Prepare a current business debt schedule.
-Develop initial 12- and 24-month financial forecasts.
-Identify issues that could negatively impact loan underwriting.
-Develop a financial plan to improve the businesses' readiness for financing.
