As our company grows, we’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager & Training Lead to strengthen our accounting operations and help develop our team’s capability for the future.
//The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position.
You’ll manage the accounting and reporting functions, mentor our finance team, and ensure financial processes are accurate, efficient, and compliant with company standards.
You’ll act as both finance expert and coach — refining systems, improving accuracy, and ensuring the team performs at its best.
//Key Responsibilities
/Financial Management
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, reporting).
Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
Maintain and improve internal accounting systems (Xero).
Manage cashflow forecasts and cost tracking.
Support compliance with NZ accounting standards and company policies.
/Leadership & Training
Train and mentor accounting/admin staff to ensure process consistency and professional growth.
Develop and document clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Conduct regular reviews, feedback sessions, and upskilling programs.
Lead by example — detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and approachable.
/Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and implement practical system improvements.
Work closely with NZ management on automation, accuracy, and reporting transparency.
Ensure data integrity and accountability across all financial processes.
//Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 8 years’ accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Proficiency in Xero
Excellent Excel and reporting skills.
Experience in training, mentoring, or team leadership.
Strong English communication skills — written and verbal.
Preferred:
CPA qualification (Philippines or equivalent).
Experience working with Australian or New Zealand clients or accounting standards.
Knowledge of payroll, tax, and compliance relevant to NZ or AU setups.
