We are looking for a Senior Accountant who is still highly hands-on with bookkeeping tasks to join our growing international team.

We are specifically looking for someone who:
- Has senior-level accounting knowledge
- Is comfortable doing day-to-day bookkeeping work
- Can own the numbers while still doing the work themselves

What This Role Is
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Understands financial reporting and business performance
- But is also happy to:
> reconcile accounts
> clean up books
> process transactions
> work directly in Xero daily
You will be responsible for both execution AND insight.

What You’ll Do
- Hands-On Bookkeeping (Core Responsibility)
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks inside Xero
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and transactions
- Clean up and maintain accurate financial records
- Handle transaction coding and categorization

Financial Management
- Maintain accurate general ledger
- Ensure financial data integrity across all accounts

Financial Reporting
Prepare:
- Monthly Profit & Loss
- Balance Sheet
- Cash Flow reports
- Identify trends and provide insights to management

Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage invoices, payments, and collections
- Track outstanding balances

Payroll Support
- Assist with payroll processing and accuracy

Tax & Compliance Support
- Assist with BAS and GST reporting
- Maintain compliance with Australian standards

Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support budgeting and financial planning
- Assist with cost tracking and projections

Xero Ownership
- Manage and maintain Xero daily
- Improve and optimize accounting processes

What We’re Looking For
- Senior Accountant (Hands-On)
- 3+ years experience in accounting/bookkeeping
- Must be comfortable doing both senior-level thinking AND daily bookkeeping tasks

Xero Expertise (Required)
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
Able to perform:
- reconciliation
- reporting
- account setup
- troubleshooting

Australian Accounting Knowledge (Preferred)
Experience with:
- BAS
- GST
- Australian compliance

Strong Accounting Fundamentals
Understanding of:
- accruals
- journal entries
- financial statements

Detail-Oriented & Organized
- High accuracy in financial records
- Strong time management skills

Communication Skills
- Clear English communication
- Ability to explain financial data simply

Bonus Points
- Experience with Australian clients
- CPA or accounting degree and certification
- Experience with growing businesses or startups
- Experience improving accounting systems or workflows
