We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support ongoing financial operations on a long-term, part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical accounting knowledge who can take ownership of financial reporting, build and maintain schedules, and provide thoughtful recommendations to improve processes and accuracy.
This is not a basic bookkeeping role — we are looking for someone who can think critically and operate at a higher level.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Build and maintain Excel-based financial models and schedules
- Analyze financial data and provide insightful recommendations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, financial schedules)
- Experience preparing full set of financial statements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication (English)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
- Experience working with US-based companies
- Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
- Experience in a controller or senior accountant role
