JOB OVERVIEW

We are a US-based firm hiring one senior accountant for a part-time role (16–20 hours per week).

This position is initially short-term (approximately 60 days) and may convert to a long-term role for the right person. We are open to building a permanent working relationship.

This role begins as part-time contract work, with the expectation of exclusive focus during scheduled hours.

We value accuracy, professional judgment, and balance-sheet integrity above speed.

What You Will Own
• Balance-sheet GL review, validation, and reconciliations (primary focus)
• Month-end close support
• Bank and credit card reconciliations (as needed)
• Adjusting journal entries
• Loan and liability reconciliation
• Clean, well-documented audit trail for CPA / tax handoff
You should be able to clearly explain why every balance-sheet account is correct.

Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
Please apply only if you meet ALL of the following:
• 5+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong QuickBooks Online proficiency
• Regular experience with month-end close
• Comfortable creating and explaining adjusting journal entries
• Solid understanding of balance-sheet accounting
• Clear written and spoken English
• Reliable internet and power
• Dual-monitor workstation
