JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Accountant (3PL Industry)
Work Setup: Remote
Experience Required: 5+ years
Industry Requirement: Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
Key Responsibilities

-Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including AR, AP, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
-Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
-Handle billing, invoicing, and reconciliation related to freight, warehousing, and logistics services
-Track and analyze logistics costs, margins, and operational expenses
-Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with contracts and service agreements
-Reconcile carrier invoices, customer billings, and third-party vendor statements
-Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
-Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and tax requirements
-Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to resolve billing and cost discrepancies
-Assist with audits and provide required financial documentation

Qualifications & Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
-At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) or transportation environment
-Strong understanding of freight billing, cost allocation, and logistics accounting
-Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar)
-Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and reporting)
-Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
-Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup

Preferred Qualifications
-Experience handling accounting for US trucking companies, fleets, carriers, freight companies, or logistics providers
-Familiarity with trucking accounting terminology and operations
-Experience with trucking-related accounting systems or software
-CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus
-Experience working with remote US clients

Shift: 9am - 6pm PST (12:00AM - 9:00AM PHT)
Salary: Php 45,000
