JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical US Senior Accountant to support our finance operations, primarily serving US-based entities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely close processes in compliance with US GAAP.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, process-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Role Summary
The US Senior Accountant will own key areas of the general ledger, lead month-end close activities, support audit readiness, and partner cross-functionally with Finance, FP&A, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindset.
Key Responsibilities
*General Ledger & Close
Own and manage assigned GL accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for assigned entities
Prepare and review complex journal entries, including:
Accruals and deferrals
Revenue and expense adjustments
Depreciation and amortization
Straight-line rent
Reclassifications
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts with proper supporting schedules
Perform bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items
*Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly financial packages and supporting schedules
Perform flux and variance analysis with clear business explanations
Support management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Ensure proper cutoff and period-end accuracy
*Technical Accounting & Compliance
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls (SOX exposure preferred)
Review transactions for proper accounting treatment
Maintain audit-ready documentation and workpapers
Support external and internal audit requests
*Fixed Assets & Multi-Entity
Manage fixed asset accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals, impairment)
Support multi-entity and intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Handle multi-currency accounting and FX gain/loss entries
*Cross-Functional Partnership
Act as Point of Contact (POC) for assigned entities or business units
Partner closely with AP, AR, FP&A, Payroll, and Operations
Collaborate with auditors and external partners
Support finance transformation and system improvements
*Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows
Support initiatives to accelerate the close (e.g., 15-day to 10-day close)
Assist in documenting accounting policies, SOPs, and onboarding materials
Contribute to ERP and system optimization projects
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP (required)
Minimum 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience
Demonstrated ownership of month-end close
Hands-on experience with NetSuite or large ERP systems (required)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational ability
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or equivalent certification (strong advantage)
Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier preferred)
SOX/internal controls experience
Experience supporting US-based companies
Multi-entity and multi-currency environment exposure
Experience in high-growth or PE-backed environments
Exposure to AU or Singapore entities (nice to have)
