Hands-On Role with Growth to Leadership
Are you an experienced accountant who’s ready to do the work now while also building and leading a team for the future?
We’re looking for an Account Manager with U.S. tax expertise who is comfortable handling daily accounting tasks while hiring, training, and managing an accounting team as we grow. If you’re excited about both getting your hands dirty with the numbers and scaling a top-tier accounting department, this is the role for you.
We’re growing, but we need someone who can own the accounting function now for several clients and help us build an exceptional team for the future.
What You’ll Be Doing (for Now)
-Handling daily accounting tasks – including reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and cash flow management
-General Ledger (GL) reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
-Payroll reconciliation to match payroll expenses with accounting records
-Managing and maintaining client books in QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop
-Reviewing and maintaining accurate financial statements for multiple clients
-Ensuring tax-efficient accounting practices in collaboration with our tax team
-Managing client communication, helping business owners understand their numbers
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
-Have strong hands-on public accounting skills and don’t mind doing the work now
-Are highly proficient in QuickBooks Online & QuickBooks Desktop
-Have a strong understanding of GL reconciliation and payroll reconciliation
-Are a problem-solver who can improve and streamline accounting processes
-Have a solid understanding of U.S. tax principles and tax-efficient accounting
-Have experience preparing or reviewing U.S. corporate tax returns (a plus, but not required)
-Love working with small and medium sized businesses and startups
-Have experience in managing a team
Must-Haves:
-7+ years of accounting experience, including financial reporting & advisory
-CPA or equivalent credential strongly preferred
-Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax-efficient accounting
-Comfortable working solo or with a team
Nice-to-Have:
-Experience preparing or reviewing U.S. corporate tax returns
