# Senior AI Automation & Agentic Systems Developer

**Claude Code • Codex • AI Agents • Keap/Infusionsoft • Make • Zapier • APIs • Reporting • Automation**

## Compensation

**US$12 to 20/hour depending on experience**

Approximately **10 to 20 hours per week initially**.

We are willing to pay toward the top of the range... and potentially beyond it... for an exceptional developer with strong AI, agentic systems, API/integration and automation experience.

There is significant potential for hours, responsibility and compensation to grow over time.

## About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable **AI Automation & Agentic Systems Developer** to work with us initially part-time, with the potential to become a key long-term member of our team.

This is **not a basic VA automation role**.

We are looking for someone with genuine development ability who also understands modern AI tools, agentic workflows, APIs, automation platforms and business systems.

Our primary business is an established Australian online education company.

We use webinars, paid advertising, email marketing, CRM systems, membership platforms, websites, reporting systems and a growing ecosystem of AI and automation tools.

We are also building AI and automation systems that we intend to use across:

* Our main business
* Other businesses we operate
* Selected client projects

Our longer-term goal is to build a small, highly capable **AI / automation / development team**.

For the right person, there may eventually be an opportunity to help us build and lead that team.

# What You Will Work On

Projects may include:

* Connecting systems with Keap / Infusionsoft
* Building automations using ---------- , Zapier and n8n
* Building custom API and webhook integrations
* Creating AI agents and agentic workflows
* Building Agentic OS-style systems for businesses
* Using Claude Code, Codex, ChatGPT and other LLMs to accelerate development
* Building internal AI tools and applications
* Creating company knowledge systems using Obsidian or similar tools
* Developing AI memory, persistent context and knowledge architectures
* Creating reusable AI skills, agents and workflows
* Building reporting and management dashboards
* Automating marketing and sales reporting
* Connecting Facebook / Meta advertising data with CRM and sales data
* Calendly and lead-routing integrations
* CRM automation and data hygiene
* Lead follow-up automation
* Automated QA and exception-reporting systems
* Content-generation and repurposing workflows
* Automating video and creative production
* Creating SOPs and documentation from business processes
* Building client-facing AI and automation solutions

We are especially interested in ways to **eliminate repetitive work entirely**, rather than simply making repetitive work slightly faster.

Strong Keap experience will be viewed very favourably.

However, an exceptional developer who can quickly learn Keap should still apply.

We want dashboards and reports that are useful for decision-making — not dashboards that simply look impressive.

We also have large amounts of video, webinar and written content.

We want to build systems that can automatically turn source content into multiple outputs while maintaining quality and brand consistency.

Examples include:

* Social posts
* Summaries
* Short-form videos
* Scripts
* Educational content
* Lead magnets
* Knowledge-base content

Experience with tools such as:

* HeyGen
* Higgsfield
* AI image generation
* AI video generation
* AI voice
* Avatars
* Automated editing
* Content publishing workflows

is useful but **not essential**.

These are bonus skills rather than requirements.

You may eventually work with customer information, CRM data, internal company documents, advertising accounts and client systems.

Security therefore matters.

You should understand good practices around:

* Least-privilege access
* API key management
* Secrets management
* Password security
* OAuth
* Development vs production environments
* Data privacy
* Backups
* Rollback
* Logging
* Monitoring
* Access revocation
* Sensitive customer information
* Appropriate use of data with AI models
* Testing before production deployment

If you normally share passwords in chat or upload sensitive customer databases to random AI tools without considering privacy, this role will not be a good fit.

We do not simply want someone who waits for us to say:

We want someone who can look at a process and ask:

**Why are we doing this manually at all?**

Then determine:

* What can be deleted?
* What can be automated?
* What should AI handle?
* What should remain human?
* Where should human approval be required?
* What data should be captured?
* How should errors be detected?
* What happens if the automation fails?
* Can the system be reused elsewhere?
* Can we make the system simpler?

We prefer **simple, reliable systems** over unnecessarily complicated ones.

We do not want critical systems that only one person understands.

Where appropriate, systems should include:

A good system should be maintainable by someone other than the original developer.

# Long-Term Opportunity

This role will begin part-time at approximately:

**10–20 hours per week**

However, we have a significant backlog of AI, development and automation projects.

For someone who consistently produces high-quality work, hours and responsibility can increase significantly.

Longer term, we want to build an AI / automation capability that supports multiple businesses and client projects.

There may eventually be opportunities to:

* Work on larger client projects
* Build reusable automation products
* Help architect AI systems
* Supervise junior developers or automation specialists
* Help recruit additional technical team members
* Become a technical lead within our AI / automation team

We are looking for someone we can work with for **years**, not simply someone to build one automation.
