JOB OVERVIEW

Overview
We are producing a premium Athlete Series of large-scale physical sculptures featuring real-world sports icons.

This is not a gaming or real-time asset role.

We are seeking a senior 3D sculptor experienced in creating hyper-realistic human likenesses for physical production (CNC, bronze casting, stainless steel, marble, etc.).

The primary challenge is exact facial identity replication.

This role is about anatomical precision and production-ready geometry.

Scope of Work

You will:
• Sculpt highly accurate 3D facial likenesses of real athletes
• Produce full-body or bust models suitable for fabrication
• Work from photographic references
• Capture bone structure, proportions, asymmetry, and identity
• Deliver clean STL/OBJ files ready for CNC, printing, or casting
• Ensure structural viability for physical scaling

This is fabrication-oriented digital sculpting — not concept art.

Required Experience
• Advanced sculpting in ZBrush (preferred), Blender, or Maya
• Demonstrated real-person likeness work
• Experience preparing STL files for CNC or 3D printing
• Knowledge of wall thickness, undercuts, and structural limitations
• Clean, watertight topology
• Understanding of how digital sculpts translate into metal or stone

This Role Is NOT For
• 3D gaming character artists
• Stylized or fantasy modelers
• Texture-dependent realism
• Realtime asset creators
• Dungeons & Dragons style portfolios

We are not building game characters.
We are building physical sculptures.

You Must Include
• Real human likeness examples (recognizable figures preferred)
• Side-by-side reference vs sculpt comparison
• Example STL or fabrication-ready mesh (if available)
• Confirmation of experience preparing models for physical production

Applications without real-person likeness examples will not be reviewed.

Paid Test
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a paid likeness bust assignment with:
• Neutral clay renders
• No heavy texture reliance
• Fabrication-ready geometry
• Defined timeline
