We’re looking for experienced Seasonal Customer Experience Agents with exceptional English, strong phone skills, proven sales experience, and excellent judgment to support our U.S. beauty and skincare technology brand during our busiest season.
You should be someone who thinks beyond the immediate ticket. You pay attention to details, investigate before answering, take ownership, and know how to read a customer situation.
What You'll Do
-Support customers via phone, email, live chat, social media, 3rd party platforms/sales channels and SMS
-Answer product and pre-sale questions, including upselling and cross-selling
-Troubleshoot order, delivery, return, warranty, and product issues
-Review customer history and investigate using available systems and outside partners before responding
-Handle frustrated customers calmly and determine the best path to resolution
-Recognize when a phone call is more effective than another email
-Know when to resolve something independently and when to ask for guidance
-Accurately calculate discounts, refunds, and order adjustments
-Take ownership and follow issues through to resolution
What We're Looking For
These are non-negotiable:
-Exceptional spoken and written English. You communicate naturally and professionally with U.S. customers.
-Phone confidence. You're comfortable calling customers, handling difficult conversations, and thinking on your feet without relying on a script.
-Proven sales/retention/upsell experience. You can identify needs, make recommendations, overcome objections, and help close a sale.
-Excellent judgment. You can read the situation, consider the full context, and recognize that not every customer or problem should be handled the same way.
-Resourcefulness. When the answer isn't obvious, you investigate rather than guess or give up.
-Strong attention to detail. You read carefully, review what has already happened, and notice inconsistencies.
-Strong practical math skills. You're comfortable with percentages, discounts, refunds, and everyday e-commerce calculations.
-Previous e-commerce customer service experience is strongly preferred. Social media customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
You must also have reliable high-speed internet, a computer, and a headset suitable for professional customer calls.
Contract Details
-Seasonal independent contractor engagement from approximately mid-October through January 31
-$5.50 USD/hour
-Approximately 40 hours of weekly availability required during the seasonal engagement
-Paid weekly
-Compensation begins during onboarding
-Eligible to participate in our sales commission program
-Regular weekend availability is required
-Availability for coverage during U.S. holidays is required
-Coverage needs may vary throughout the seasonal period
-Top-performing seasonal contractors may be considered for long-term contract opportunities following the seasonal engagement
How to Apply
Please read carefully. Applications that do not follow all instructions below will not be considered.
1. Tell Us About Your Experience
In 5 sentences or fewer, tell us about your most relevant customer service and sales experience. Be specific about what you personally did.
2. Send Us a Voice Recording
Submit a voice recording of no more than 2 minutes.
In your recording:
-Briefly introduce yourself and describe your most recent customer-facing role
-Tell us about your sales experience
-Answer this scenario:
You inherit a customer ticket with several previous replies. The customer is frustrated because their issue still hasn't been resolved. Walk us through exactly what you would do from the moment you receive the ticket.
Please do not prepare or read from a script or AI-generated response. We want to hear how you naturally communicate and think through a situation. There is no perfect answer. We're interested in your thought process.
3. Final Step
At the very end of your application, write the word SUNFLOWER.
Candidates who move forward will be invited to complete a short skills assessment covering practical math, attention to detail, and customer situations.
