$5.50-$8.50 + 5% Uncapped Commission

Position Overview
No cold calling. No prospecting all day. We generate the leads—you focus on converting them.
You’ll speak with U.S. homeowners who have already expressed interest in our services, understand what they’re looking for, prepare and present their proposals, follow up, and close the sale.
We’re a growing U.S. home-service company looking for someone who wants more than just another VA position. You’ll own the sales pipeline, earn commission on the business you close, and have the opportunity to grow into a larger sales leadership role as we expand.
Your core mission: Help improve our conversion rate from 10% to 15%+ while building relationships that drive customer retention and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Execution & Closing
Process and manage inbound leads from all marketing/operations channels (ads, website, referrals, yard signs, etc.).
Conduct consultative phone and video sessions to assess customer needs, property details, preferences, budget, and timeline.
Develop, present, and close customized quotes and high-ticket proposals professionally.
Overcome customer objections and execute contracts seamlessly.
Ensure smooth post-sale handoffs to the field crew for installation.
Build trust and positive relationships with clients to generate recurring referral business.
2. Lead Management & Pipeline Follow-Up
Prioritize rapid response to new inbound leads. We believe speed-to-lead matters—the sooner a prospect receives a helpful, professional response after requesting a quote, the greater the opportunity to start a conversation and earn their business. While circumstances will vary throughout the day, treat new inquiries as a priority and respond as quickly as reasonably possible.
Maintain a 24-hour maximum response standard. No new quote request or qualified inbound lead should go more than 24 hours without receiving a response or acknowledgment.
Create responsiveness without pressure. Our goal is for prospects to feel that their inquiry is important and that our team is attentive—not that they are being chased or pressured into making a decision.
Consistently follow up with open opportunities. Maintain organized, professional follow-up with prospects who have received quotes, requested additional time, or have not yet made a decision.
Qualify and prioritize opportunities. Identify customers who are ready to move forward, those who require additional information or follow-up, and those who may be better suited for future consideration.
Maintain an organized sales pipeline. Use the CRM and established follow-up processes to ensure opportunities do not fall through the cracks and that each prospect receives the appropriate level of communication throughout the sales process.
3. Customer Retention & Revenue Growth
Lead seasonal renewal outreach to re-engage past clients and secure renewal contracts.
Target and pursue upsell opportunities (e.g., upgrading seasonal packages to permanent solutions, expanding to additional properties, adding premium services).
Build relationships focused on high lifetime customer value to hit a 75%+ renewal/rebooking rate.
4. Sales Process Improvement & Documentation
Map out the sales workflow to identify bottlenecks, friction points, and conversion barriers.
A/B test proposal formats, pricing structures, and objection-handling strategies.
Create and update standard proposal templates, scripts, and objection guides.
Continually refine approaches based on real-time customer conversations.
5. Feedback & Strategic Recommendations
Submit monthly written reports detailing key operational and sales findings:
Top objections and recurring pushback ("customers always ask about X").
Pricing feedback and sensitivity trends (e.g., "$1,500 seasonal closes at 40%; $2,000+ closes at 15%").
Actionable ideas to boost overall conversion rates from 10% to 15%+.
Patterns regarding messaging that sells vs. messaging that fails.
Partner directly with the CEO and Operations to test new pricing structures and sales messaging.
6. Sales Pipeline & Performance Tracking
Weekly Pipeline Tracking: Maintain and share weekly updates on active leads, pending proposals, expected close dates, and key follow-up items to keep the team aligned.
Monthly Sales Performance Report: Track and review:
Total leads received and lead sources.
Close rates, revenue by category, and month-over-month trends.
Average deal value, lead response time, and proposal-to-close conversion rate.
Renewal and rebooking progress compared with monthly/seasonal targets.
Team Review & Follow-Up: Use the tracking data to identify opportunities, gaps, and follow-up priorities, and coordinate with the sales team on next steps.
Required Qualifications
You do not need previous experience in the holiday lighting industry. We can teach you our products, services, pricing, and sales process.
What we're looking for is someone who knows how to sell, communicates well, follows up consistently, and is willing to learn.
Sales ability: Previous experience in direct sales, inside sales, or customer-facing sales with the ability to understand customer needs, present solutions, handle objections, and confidently ask for the sale.
Excellent English communication: Strong spoken and written English with the confidence to communicate professionally with U.S. homeowners by phone, video, email, and SMS.
Relationship building: Able to quickly establish rapport and create a comfortable, consultative customer experience.
Follow-up discipline: Organized and persistent without being pushy; able to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales process.
Objection handling: Comfortable discussing pricing, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping customers make confident purchasing decisions.
Organization & CRM use: Comfortable learning and consistently using CRM systems to document conversations, proposals, follow-ups, and deal status.
Self-directed & accountable: Able to prioritize opportunities, manage responsibilities independently, and take ownership of results.
Team player & collaborative: Works well with others, communicates openly, shares information, and is willing to support the team to achieve shared goals.
Coachable & willing to learn: Open to feedback and willing to learn our products, services, customers, and sales process.
Reliable remote-work setup: Reliable computer, high-speed internet, professional work environment, and ability to consistently work U.S. Eastern Time.
Preferred Qualifications
The following experience can help you succeed in the role, but you do not need to check every box to apply:
3+ years of direct or high-ticket sales experience.
Experience selling to U.S. customers.
B2C or full-cycle sales experience.

Remote phone or video sales experience.
Experience with recurring, seasonal, or renewal-based revenue.
Experience with upselling, account growth, or customer retention.
Experience providing feedback that helped improve a sales process.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can sell, communicate professionally, follow up consistently, take care of customers, and continue improving. If you have a strong sales background but haven't worked in holiday lighting before, we still want to hear from you.
When applying, be prepared to share examples of your previous sales experience, results you're proud of, and situations where you successfully helped move a customer from initial interest to a completed sale.

Customer-focused: Builds genuine relationships; understands long-term value of customer retention
Detail-oriented: Maintains accurate records; tracks what's working and what isn't
Collaborative: Works well with small team; open to coaching and process feedback
Proactive: Identifies opportunities and problems before being asked; offers solutions

Compensation & Earning Potential
This position combines a guaranteed hourly base with uncapped sales commission and performance-based bonus opportunities. Our compensation structure is designed to provide dependable base income while rewarding representatives who generate new business, grow existing accounts, retain customers, and deliver a strong customer experience.
Base Pay: $5.00–$8.50 USD/hour

New Customer Sales: 5% of Gross Profit
Earn 5% of gross profit on qualifying new customer sales you successfully close.

Customer Renewals: 2% of Gross Profit
Earn 2% of gross profit when a returning customer reaches a renewal decision and you successfully secure their business for another term. This includes:
Returning one-year customers who renew for another season or term.
Customers who have completed a multi-year agreement and choose to enter into a new agreement.
Customers who are still within an active multi-year agreement are not considered renewals and do not generate renewal commission on their existing contracted service. However, any qualifying additional products or services sold to that customer are eligible for the 5% upsell commission.
Additional Performance Bonuses
Representatives may also qualify for additional performance-based bonuses tied to individual and company goals, including sales performance, close rates, customer retention, and customer satisfaction.
Your Performance Drives Your Earning Potential
