About the Role
We're hiring a Sales Development Manager to run the day-to-day of our outbound sales team. This is a player-coach role: about 70% managing, coaching, and QA-ing our setters/SDRs, and 30% sales-ops administration. You'll own the human side of our BD engine while our AI system handles the pipeline data-engineering (refills, warmth scoring, dashboards, gates). You will not touch that system — your job is coaching people and keeping operations clean.
You'll report directly to the founder and work as a peer to our Delivery Lead, with a clean split between business development and delivery.
What You'll Own
Call quality assurance — reviewing calls, scoring against a scorecard, and coaching setters to improve
No-show protocol — enforcing and improving how the team handles prospect no-shows
Attendance and bonus administration for the setter team
Number-health and spam remediation — monitoring outbound numbers and fixing deliverability issues
Vendor escalations and compliance execution
Writing the weekly report narrative for leadership
What Stays With Our AI System (Not This Role)
Pipeline refills, warmth scoring, dashboards, and pipeline gates
Attio schema and structure — you'll get record-level edit access only, not schema control, to keep data clean against the pipelines
Compensation
Base: $800–$1,600/month (depending on experience)
Bonus: $200–$400/month, tied to team held-meetings and show-rate
Who You Are
Proven experience managing or coaching a team of SDRs, setters, or outbound callers (not just doing the calling yourself)
Comfortable with call scoring, coaching frameworks, and performance conversations
Strong operational discipline — attendance, bonus tracking, vendor and compliance follow-through
Able to write a clear, honest weekly report — not just activity counts
Available and reliable during US business hours
Comfortable working inside an existing CRM (Attio) without altering its structure
How to Apply
Please submit your resume along with answers to these 5 questions. Give real numbers — vague answers will not move forward.
How many SDRs/setters have you directly managed at once, and for how long?
What was your team's held-meeting or show-rate before and after you took over, in numbers?
Walk us through your call scoring/coaching process — how often do you QA calls, and what's on your scorecard?
Describe a specific underperforming setter — what did you do, and what changed (with numbers)?
Largest number of outbound calls/dials your team handled in a week or month, and what tools tracked it?
What is your salary expectation?
