JOB OVERVIEW

Hi, I run a small software development studio in California called Elden. We build custom web apps, automations and integrations for US businesses - things like inventory sync tools, internal dashboards, AI features, that kind of work.

We have a system that finds US business owners who are actively looking to hire a developer, and it starts the conversation for them by text. It works. People reply, and we send them a short video of something similar we already built.

What we do not have is a person. Right now those conversations reach a real, interested human being and then nobody picks them up properly. That is the job.

WHAT YOU WOULD ACTUALLY DO ALL DAY

- Reply to US business owners who have already responded to us. Mostly by text message, sometimes a short call on Zoom.
- Understand what they are trying to build, in plain language, and explain how we would approach it. You will not be writing code. You will have a real AI assistant on screen that pulls the answer for you, plus written notes on every offer and price we have.
- Get them to a small first project (usually $400, paid only after it works) and then to a bigger build.
- Work through our backlog of leads that need a human touch.
- Keep good notes so we know what happened.

WHAT YOU NEED

- Excellent written English, and specifically a casual American style. We do not text people like a formal business letter. We text like a normal person - lowercase, short sentences, no "I hope this message finds you well". If you can do that naturally, you are most of the way there.
- Comfortable on a video call with an American, and comfortable being on camera.
- Willing to work US hours. This is a night shift from the Philippines. Be honest with yourself about that before applying.
- Reliable. If you say you are online at 9, you are online at 9.
- Curious about software. You do not need to be a developer. You need to be the kind of person who reads how something works and can then explain it back.

WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED

- Sales experience. We will train you and give you scripts, recordings, and an AI assistant that suggests what to say in real time.
- A technical degree.
- Your own leads. We generate them.

A REAL PLUS

If you have ever played with Claude Code, Cursor, or any similar AI coding tool, even just for fun on a side project, mention it. It is not required and you will not be writing code. It just tells me you are someone who goes and figures things out on their own, which is most of what this job is.

PAY

- Paid trial week first: $150 for 5 days, about 4 hours a day. This is paid whether or not we go forward.
- Then $700/month base, paid twice a month by Wise.
- Plus commission: $75 every time a client pays their first $400 project, 12% of every project we get paid for, and 10% of the first month plus 5% of months 2 to 6 on any monthly client you bring in.
- Plus $15 for every conversation you personally carry through to a delivered video, and $25 for every dead lead you revive.
- Realistically that is $1,200-$2,400 a month once you are up to speed, and more if you are good. We will raise the base at month 4 if it is working.

3. A 2-3 minute video of you talking, no script, telling me about yourself. Phone camera is fine.
