JOB OVERVIEW

Type: Part-time to start, 20–30 hours/week, with the option of moving to full-time (38 hours/week) as more tasks are given and you take on more responsibility
Pay: AUD $12–$15 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: All hours must be worked during our Australian business hours, Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm Melbourne time

About us
We’re a well-established roofing sales and supplies business in Melbourne, Australia, with two branches and our own Colorbond steel manufacturing. We’ve built a solid social media presence over the years, posting regularly across our pages, but it’s been quiet lately while our team focused on other projects. We need someone to pick it up, get us posting consistently again and take it to the next level.

What you’ll do

Plan and run our social media on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
Create posts: captions, images/graphics and short videos
Run and manage paid ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), within a set budget
Create email newsletters in Drip
Organise and grow our existing library of photos, videos and content
Reply to comments and messages, and pass enquiries to our sales team
Send a simple monthly report on what’s working

Who we’re trying to reach
Roofers and trades, builders and developers, architects and designers, and homeowners.

What we’re looking for

At least 2 years managing social media for a business, preferably in construction, trades, home improvement or B2B
Proven experience running Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, with results you can show
Hands-on experience using creative software and AI tools to create content: images, video, captions and ad copy (e.g. Photoshop or Canva experience is a must)
Experience creating Drip newsletters
Excellent written English. You’ll be writing for an Australian audience.
You’re a self-starter who can suggest ideas, not just follow instructions
Your own reliable computer, internet of 25 Mbps or more, and backup power or internet

What you’ll get

Long-term work with real creative freedom
A chance to put your stamp on an established brand
Room to grow into a full-time role
A rate review after 6 months

How to apply

Start your application with the words “Built to Last”. Applications without this won’t be read.
Answer these 4 questions:
Share links to 2–3 social pages, ads or videos you’ve created, and what results they got.
Which creative software and AI tools do you use to create content, and how? Share an example if you can.
With a $ ---------- monthly ad budget on Facebook and Instagram, how would you reach builders in Melbourne?
What is your internet speed, and what backup do you have for power and internet outages?
Attach your CV or portfolio.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a short paid test task, followed by a video interview.
