About the Position
We are seeking a strategic and versatile SEO Writer who can craft clear, compelling, and search-optimized short-form and long-form content. This role requires the ability to translate legal, technical, and research-driven information into both accessible content for the general public and polished professional materials for collaboration partners, media, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
*Write long-form and short-form SEO-optimized content including blogs, FAQs, landing pages, video scripts, case studies, and guides.
**Translate legal language into easy-to-understand, high-conversion copy for everyday audiences.
***Develop compelling professional-level content for legal partners, media publications, and cross-sector collaborators.
Technical & Non-Technical Writing
*Produce clear, persuasive writing for both legal and lay audiences — from educational explainers to media kits and internal briefs.
**Maintain accuracy, tone, and clarity across content types, working directly with attorneys and digital strategists.
Strategic Research & Outreach
*Conduct keyword research, competitor content audits, and legal trend analysis to inform content strategy.
**Assist with outreach efforts for backlink building, co-authored articles, and thought leadership placements.
Public Relations Support
*Draft press releases, public statements, and PR campaigns that align with the firm’s mission and media strategy.
**Collaborate with media contacts, podcast hosts, legal associations, and community influencers to amplify CCIA’s message.
Collaborations & Content Partnerships
*Support ideation and preparation for content-based collaborations with other firms, medical providers, nonprofit organizations, and advocacy groups.
**Help position CCIA for inclusion in referral networks, public directories, media features, and award nominations through persuasive written submissions.
Required Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
**2–4 years of experience in SEO writing, journalism, content marketing, or technical writing.
***Exceptional research skills and the ability to synthesize complex material into clear, engaging narratives.
****Proven ability to write with voice versatility — adapting to technical, educational, emotional, and professional tones.
*****Familiarity with on-page SEO, keyword optimization, and Google search intent.
******Working knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress), SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs), and AI writing assistants.
Preferred Skills
*Experience writing within the legal, medical, or insurance space.
**Background in journalism, public relations, or strategic communications.
***Familiarity with Louisiana law or a willingness to quickly learn regional specifics.
****Comfort with digital video scripting, podcasting copy, and long-form story structure.
