# Local SEO Specialist
We are looking for a talented Local SEO Specialist to join our team. If you are passionate about driving results for local home service businesses, comfortable working hands-on with AI tools like Claude Code, and confident working with coded websites, we want to hear from you!
## Key Responsibilities
### Local SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive local SEO strategies aimed at improving clients' visibility in targeted geographic areas.
- Optimize Google Business Profiles and local listings, ensuring consistent NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) data and strong local citations.
### AI Tools & Coded Websites
- Leverage AI tools, including Claude Code, to accelerate SEO research, analysis, reporting, and site-level implementation.
- Work directly with coded websites — reading, editing, and optimizing site code to implement SEO improvements and fix technical issues.
- Stay updated on new AI tools and best practices to maximize efficiency and results across client campaigns.
### On-Page & Technical SEO
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and optimization for landing pages, service pages, and blog posts.
- Perform technical audits to identify and fix issues such as broken links, crawl errors, and site speed challenges.
### Link Building & Content Strategy
- Develop and implement ethical link-building campaigns tailored to the contracting and home services industry.
- Collaborate with our content team to create SEO-focused content that drives local traffic and conversions.
### Analytics, Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement metrics through Google Analytics and other tracking tools.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports and communicate findings clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
### Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with account managers, designers, and developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into new and existing websites.
- Provide actionable insights to continually refine and improve our agency's local SEO services.
## Qualifications
### Proven Experience in Local SEO
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in local SEO (with a portfolio of successful campaigns, if available).
### Home Service Industry Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with home service or contracting businesses (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, landscaping) and an understanding of how these clients win local customers.
### AI Tools & Coded Websites Experience
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude Code to support SEO work.
- Comfort working with coded websites — able to read and edit site code to implement SEO changes and resolve technical issues.
### Technical Know-How
- Solid understanding of WordPress SEO and familiarity with other popular CMS platforms.
- Strong grasp of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile.
### Analytical & Detail-Oriented
- Ability to interpret campaign data to drive strategy.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
### Strong Communication Skills
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience presenting reports and insights to clients or internal teams.
### Team Player
- Willingness to collaborate with different departments and open to feedback.
- Ability to work independently while remaining responsive and reliable in a remote work environment.
