We are now looking for a full-time, remote SEO Specialist (VA) to help optimise our online presence, increase organic traffic, and drive lead generation.

Role Overview
As our SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for executing a self-service SEO strategy, improving our search engine rankings, managing website content, and ensuring our digital presence aligns with Haz-Ed’s mission and values.

This is a full-time remote position designed for a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of SEO initiatives and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
???? SEO Strategy & Execution
- Implement and refine the SEO strategy to increase organic traffic.
- Conduct keyword research using tools such as Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, and AnswerThePublic.
- Optimise on-page SEO, including title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content formatting.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.

???? Website & Content Optimisation
- Ensure website content is optimised for search intent and aligned with safety training and roof safety services.
- Manage and update the blog section, optimising posts for keywords and readability.
- Work with the web team to improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and technical SEO.

???? Technical SEO & Performance Monitoring
- Set up and maintain Google Search Console and Google Analytics for performance tracking.
- Conduct site audits to fix broken links, improve page load speed, and optimise site structure.
- Monitor indexing issues and implement schema markup where necessary.

???? Local SEO & Google Business Profile (GBP) Management
- Optimise Google Business Profile (GBP) for local search rankings.
- Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across online directories.
- Monitor and manage customer reviews, responding professionally and encouraging engagement.

???? Backlink Building & Off-Page SEO
- Develop a backlink acquisition strategy by reaching out to industry blogs and directories.
- List Haz-Ed Services on local and industry-specific directories to improve domain authority.
- Collaborate with guest bloggers and partners to secure high-quality backlinks.

???? Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track SEO performance metrics (rankings, traffic, conversions) and provide monthly reports.
- Stay updated on SEO trends and Google algorithm updates to refine strategies.
- Proactively suggest new SEO opportunities to improve website visibility.

Skills & Qualifications
? 2+ years of SEO experience (preferably in a service-based industry).
? Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
? Experience with SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, or SEMrush).
? Understanding of WordPress SEO best practices.
? Ability to write SEO-optimised content aligned with Haz-Ed’s industry.
? Familiarity with local SEO strategies (Google Business Profile optimisation, citations).
? Strong analytical skills to interpret data and refine SEO strategies.
? Self-motivated with excellent time management and communication skills.

Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Essential)
?? Experience with Google Ads and PPC campaigns.
?? Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website structure.
?? Experience working with offshore teams or virtual roles.
