About Us

Option One Solar and Chaparosa Roofing are family-owned Southern California companies with deep experience in the electrical, solar, and roofing industries.

Our electrical business has been operating since 1970, with 5,000+ installations completed. We are looking for a long-term SEO Specialist who can help grow the online visibility and organic search presence of both brands.

You will work closely with our Marketing Team Lead and take ownership of day-to-day SEO activities, reporting, research, and optimization.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

Local SEO & Google Business Profiles
Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for our locations
Create and schedule Google Business Profile posts
Optimize services, business information, photos, Q&A, and other profile content
Monitor and respond to reviews appropriately
Identify opportunities to improve local search visibility
Monitor local competitors and search results
Business Citations & Listings
Build and maintain business citations across relevant directories
Audit existing listings for incorrect or inconsistent information
Fix duplicate, outdated, or inaccurate listings
Keep business name, address, phone number, website, and other information consistent
Keyword & Search Research
Conduct keyword research for solar, roofing, electrical, and related home-service searches
Identify high-value local search opportunities
Research what customers are searching for on Google
Monitor emerging search behavior and opportunities from AI search tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI search results
Provide keyword and targeting recommendations to the paid advertising team
Content Planning
Develop SEO-driven content ideas based on search demand
Create content briefs and topic recommendations for:
Website pages
Blog posts
Videos
FAQs
Social media content

Work with our content team to make sure SEO recommendations are implemented correctly
Identify existing content that should be updated, expanded, or optimized

Technical SEO
Monitor website SEO health
Check indexing and crawlability
Identify broken links and redirect issues
Monitor page speed and Core Web Vitals
Review XML sitemaps and robots.txt
Monitor structured data/schema
Identify technical issues that may affect search visibility
Coordinate with the appropriate team members when technical fixes are needed
SEO Reporting & Tracking
Monitor keyword rankings and local rankings
Track Google Search Console performance
Monitor Google Analytics/GA4 data
Run local ranking and heat map reports
Track organic traffic and search visibility
Monitor Google Business Profile performance
Provide clear weekly and monthly SEO reports
Explain what changed, what was completed, what needs attention, and what you recommend next

Required:

At least 3 years of hands-on SEO experience
Strong experience with Local SEO
Experience managing Google Business Profiles
Experience with business citations and local listings
Experience with keyword research and SEO content planning
Experience with technical SEO
Experience using tools such as:
Semrush or Ahrefs
Google Search Console
Google Analytics 4
BrightLocal, Local Falcon, or another local rank/heat map platform
Strong written and spoken English
Clear and reliable communication
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage ongoing SEO tasks
Reliable internet connection
Availability for check-ins during US Pacific business hours
Preferred

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can actually execute SEO, not just provide recommendations.

You should be comfortable looking at data, identifying problems, researching opportunities, making changes, tracking results, and clearly communicating what you're doing.

We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position, not a short-term project.

You should be organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of your assigned SEO responsibilities.

Compensation

Starting rate: $6/hour

Additional compensation may be considered over time based on experience, performance, responsibilities, and results.
