JOB OVERVIEW

We're looking for an SEO Specialist to grow organic traffic and leads — starting with our own company website as a live test case, with the goal of building strategic SEO into a service we offer clients.
You'll own SEO strategy and execution end to end: auditing, optimizing, and proving real results before we scale it into a client-facing offering.
Responsibilities
* Audit and optimize our site (technical, on-page, and content SEO), starting with our own website as the test case
* Research and target keywords tied to real business outcomes, not just traffic
* Build out content — including blogging (1-2/month) — that targets real search traffic and reflects genuine expertise, not generic filler
* Track rankings, traffic, and lead conversion, and report on what's actually working
* Help build strategic SEO into the web design services we offer clients as the business grows
Requirements
Technical skills & experience
* Able to show real results from past work — rankings, traffic, or lead growth — not just describe them
* Solid grasp of on-page, technical, and content SEO
* Strong writing skills — able to write clear, on-brand blog content that's structured to actually rank
* Comfortable with SEO and analytics tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, keyword research tools)
Soft skills
* Clear, confident communicator
* Learns quickly and is adaptable
* Stays calm under pressure and deadlines
Basic skills
* Strong English proficiency (written and spoken)
* Comfortable with Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Calendar
Desired (nice to have)
* WordPress experience
* Showit experience
* Shopify experience
Career potential: This starts as a project-based role while we test it out on our own site. But as we bring on clients, the number of projects grows with it, and there's real potential for this to become an ongoing, more consistent role as the client base builds.
