JOB OVERVIEW

About Funnel Digital Marketing
Funnel Digital Marketing is a performance marketing agency that brings Fortune 500-level expertise to small and medium-sized businesses. We specialize in paid search, SEO, programmatic advertising, and social media, and we are known for being data-driven, transparent, and genuinely invested in our clients' success. While large agencies reserve their best talent for their biggest accounts, we give every client access to senior-level strategy and execution from day one.
The agency was founded in 2018 and is led by Kenneth Hamner, who has 20 years of experience in digital marketing. Today, Funnel works with clients across a range of industries, delivering measurable results through strategies that are grounded in data and built around each client's specific goals. The agency is growing, and this role is a key part of scaling our lead generation efforts.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an SEO Specialist who can take full ownership of SEO for assigned client accounts.
This is a recurring, account-based role. You will be assigned clients, and you will be responsible for everything SEO-related for each one. You are not just executing tasks handed to you. You are the SEO strategist and the one doing the work. You own the results.
Clients range from local businesses to lead generation-focused companies across different industries. The work will vary from account to account, and you need to be comfortable adapting your approach based on each client's goals, market, and competitive landscape.
You will start with approximately three client accounts, with the potential to take on more over time.

What You Will Do
What You Will Do
Strategy and Planning
Develop and execute SEO strategies tailored to each client's goals and industry
Conduct keyword research and identify opportunities for organic growth
Build and maintain SEO roadmaps for each account
Stay current on algorithm updates and adjust strategies accordingly
On-Page SEO
Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content structure
Identify and fix on-page issues that affect rankings and user experience
Provide content recommendations and briefs based on keyword research
Ensure pages are properly optimized for target keywords without over-optimization
Technical SEO
Run technical audits using Screaming Frog and Google Search Console
Identify and resolve crawl errors, indexing issues, site speed problems, and other technical blockers
Monitor site health and flag issues before they become bigger problems
Work with developers or clients as needed to implement technical fixes
Off-Page SEO and Link Building
Develop and execute link building strategies appropriate for each client
Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links when necessary
Identify opportunities for local citations, directory listings, and relevant outreach
Local SEO (When Applicable)
Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles for local clients
Build and maintain local citations
Develop strategies to improve local pack rankings and map visibility
Reporting and Communication
Track rankings, traffic, and conversions on a monthly basis
Deliver clear, easy-to-understand reports that show progress and next steps
Communicate proactively with the Funnel team about account performance
Flag risks or opportunities as they come up rather than waiting for check-ins

What We Are Looking For
Required
Proven experience running SEO for client accounts (not just personal projects)
Strong working knowledge of on-page, technical, and off-page SEO
Proficiency with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console
Experience with both local SEO and lead generation SEO
Able to build and execute a strategy, not just follow a checklist
Strong communication skills and ability to explain SEO decisions clearly
Organized enough to manage multiple accounts without dropping the ball
Preferred
Experience working at an agency or managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4)
Experience creating or guiding content strategies tied to SEO goals
Understanding of how SEO fits alongside paid search and other marketing channels

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means your clients see real, measurable progress in their organic performance, and you can clearly explain what you did and why it worked.
You manage your accounts without needing constant oversight. You know what needs to happen each month, you do it, and you communicate results clearly. When something is not working, you adjust your approach instead of repeating the same playbook.
You treat each client account like it is your own business. That level of ownership is what separates a great SEO specialist from someone who is just going through the motions.
Strong performers will be given additional accounts and increased compensation over time.

Compensation and Setup
This is a contract-based, recurring role. You are paid a flat monthly rate per client account.
Compensation: Monthly rate per client. Specific rates will be discussed based on account scope and complexity. More accounts means more income.
Starting Workload: Approximately 3 client accounts
Work Style: Fully remote, async
Tools: SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Slack, Google Docs/Drive

How to Apply
When applying through OnlineJobs.ph, please assign at least 10 points to your application. Applications with fewer than 10 points will not be reviewed.
Include:
A short summary of your SEO experience, including types of clients you have worked with
Examples of results you have achieved (rankings, traffic growth, lead improvements)
Your experience with SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console
How many client accounts you are comfortable managing at one time

Final Step (Required)
Answer this question in your application:
If you were assigned a new local services client on day one, walk us through what your first 30 days would look like. What would you audit, what would you prioritize, and what would your first month's deliverables be?
