JOB OVERVIEW

SEO Specialist for US Ecommerce Brand (Shopify)

Employment type [Full-time / Part-time] Salary PHP 60,000 to 68,000 per month, depending on experience Schedule Flexible hours with some overlap with US Eastern Time

About Us

We're a US-based ecommerce brand selling apparel accessories, direct to consumer and wholesale to well-known companies and universities. We run on Shopify and we're a small, fast-moving team. You'll work directly with the founders, not through layers of managers. We'll share the brand name and website with candidates we move forward with.

The Role

We're hiring our first dedicated SEO specialist. This is a junior role, but not a beginner role. You'll own organic search for our site and grow it into a meaningful sales channel alongside our paid ads. You'll have real ownership, a real budget for tools, and direct input on what we publish.

What You'll Do
Run keyword research to find what our customers search for, both consumer and B2B
Optimize product pages, collection pages, and site structure on Shopify
Write or brief content for our blog and landing pages
Run technical audits and fix issues like crawl errors, slow pages, and duplicate content
Build white-hat backlinks. No directory spam, no PBNs, no bought links
Track rankings and traffic in Semrush and Google Search Console, and send a short weekly report on what moved and why
What We're Looking For
At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on SEO experience with results you can show us
Experience with ecommerce sites, ideally on Shopify
Working knowledge of Semrush or Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and GA4
Strong written English. You'll be writing content and reports, not just tweaking meta tags
Someone honest about what they don't know. We'd rather hear "I haven't done that before" than get guesswork
Nice to Have
Experience with US apparel or lifestyle brands
Basic understanding of Shopify Liquid or page structure
Content writing samples
How to Apply

To show us you read this far, start your application with the word LIGHTHOUSE. Applications that skip this will not be read.

Then answer these two questions in your own words. No templates, no AI-generated answers.

In your first 30 days working on an ecommerce apparel site, what would you focus on and why?
Share one example of a site you improved. What did you do, and what happened to its traffic or rankings?

Keep your application short. We care more about your two answers than a long cover letter.
