The SEO Specialist is responsible for improving the company’s organic search visibility, increasing qualified website traffic, and supporting inbound lead generation through consistent SEO execution.
This role owns the day-to-day implementation and monitoring of SEO initiatives, including keyword strategy, website optimization, content recommendations, technical SEO monitoring, reporting, and coordination with the broader marketing team.
Success in this role is measured by consistent execution and measurable improvements in search visibility, organic traffic, rankings, and conversions — not simply by completing SEO tasks.
Core Responsibilities
1. SEO Strategy & Execution
- Conduct keyword research based on business priorities, target audiences, services, and search opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a keyword strategy and keyword mapping system.
- Optimize website pages, service pages, blogs, and landing pages for organic search.
- Manage on-page SEO, including:
- Page titles and meta descriptions
- Headers and content structure
- Internal linking
- Image optimization
- URLs
- Keyword placement and search intent alignment
- Identify opportunities to improve existing website content.
- Develop SEO recommendations and briefs for new content.
- Support off-page SEO initiatives, including backlink and partnership opportunities.
- Monitor technical SEO issues that may impact search visibility and coordinate fixes as needed.
- Monitor competitor SEO activity and identify opportunities for improvement.
2. SEO Performance & Reporting
- Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings, impressions, clicks, conversions, and other agreed SEO metrics.
- Track whether SEO activities are contributing to qualified website inquiries and business growth.
- Identify declining pages, ranking losses, technical issues, and other risks early.
- Provide clear recommendations based on performance data.
- Maintain visibility into SEO initiatives currently in progress, completed, blocked, or planned.
- Prepare monthly SEO reports that explain:
- What changed
- What was completed
- What improved or declined
- Why performance changed
- What will be done next
3. Content & Cross-Channel Alignment
- Work with the content and marketing teams to ensure content supports SEO priorities.
- Recommend topics based on keyword opportunities, search demand, competitor gaps, and business goals.
- Provide SEO briefs before new website or blog content is created.
- Ensure SEO priorities align with broader marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with Sales and Client Success when needed to understand common customer questions, search behavior, and lead quality.

Where applicable, the SEO Specialist will also support
- Developing and maintaining
- Segmenting audiences and personalizing messaging.
- Building and maintaining welcome, nurture, reactivation, and other automation workflows.
- Conducting A/B testing on subject lines, messaging, offers, and timing.
- Monitoring open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and engagement.
