JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a reliable, experienced SEO Outreach & Link Building Specialist to help us earn high-quality backlinks for a growing software discovery and cashback platform.

This is not a role for someone who simply has a spreadsheet of websites selling guest posts.

We are specifically looking for someone who can research relevant websites, identify real outreach opportunities, contact editors/site owners, follow up professionally, and build genuine relationships that can lead to guest posts, editorial links, resource links, expert contributions, statistics citations, and other legitimate placements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Researching relevant websites in SaaS, business, finance, ecommerce, marketing, technology, software, startups, and related niches
- Finding websites that accept guest contributions or external expert content
- Finding relevant resource pages and editorial link opportunities
- Analysing competitors' backlinks to identify realistic opportunities
- Identifying journalists, bloggers, editors and website owners worth contacting
- Finding broken-link and resource-link opportunities where appropriate
- Sending personalised outreach emails
- Following up with prospects
- Pitching guest articles, expert commentary, data and useful resources
- Building and maintaining relationships with publishers
- Recording all outreach, responses and opportunities in a spreadsheet
- Recording websites that request payment for guest posts or placements
- Reporting strong paid opportunities to us for separate review

What We Are Looking For

You should have previous experience with:

- SEO outreach
- Guest post outreach
- Link building
- Prospect research
- Email outreach
- Competitor backlink analysis

Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, Hunter, Apollo, BuzzStream, Pitchbox or similar tools is useful, although not all are required.

Good written English is essential. Your outreach should feel like it was written by a real person. We do not want generic templates sent to hundreds of websites.

We are not looking for hundreds of low-quality backlinks. We would rather earn 2 to 5 strong, relevant links than 50 poor links.

A good opportunity should generally have:

- Real organic traffic
- Relevant content
- Genuine authors or editors
- Recently published and indexed articles
- A sensible backlink profile
- A real audience
- Strong topical relevance to our company.

We are not interested in:

- PBNs
- Link farms
- Sites created primarily to sell guest posts
- Spammy general blogs
- Websites publishing casino, pharma, essay, adult or unrelated spam
- Automatically generated websites
- Bulk directory submissions
- Comment backlinks
- Forum spam
- Automated outreach

Do not optimise purely for Domain Rating or Domain Authority. A smaller, highly relevant website with genuine traffic can be much more valuable than a high-DR website with no real audience.

You should be comfortable researching prospects manually rather than relying entirely on pre-existing databases. Each outreach campaign should have a clear reason why the website may want to work with us.

We understand that cold outreach does not have a high success rate. We will judge performance primarily on the quality of your research, outreach and links earned, not simply the number of emails sent.

We are initially looking for approximately:

12 hours per week, though this may increase if successful. Please include your requested hourly rate when applying. We will also offer a bonus for high-quality backlinks that we approve, in addition to your hourly rate.

We are looking for someone methodical, honest and capable of building a strong outreach process over time. This is not a volume link-building role. Quality, relevance and genuine outreach matter much more than raw backlink numbers.
