JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a relentless SEO operator who wants to win search for our AI consumer app (Like AI Wattpad).

**IF YOU ARE GREAT, WE ARE OPEN TO PAYING MORE OR GIVING YOU PERFORMANCE-BASED SALARY. Don't let the salary range stop you**

This is a figure-it-out, try-every-angle, make-it-rank role. Your job is simple to say and hard to do: get us to #1 for the keywords that matter.

We have ideas based on SEO practices on how to do this, but you will be expected to think from first-principle and be creative to find the best strategies to get

That might mean:
- Emailing hundreds of directories, blogs or websites for backlinks
- Writing and shipping content yourself
- Launching programmatic SEO pages
- Finding issues with our on-site SEO, internal linking or technical SEO
- Posting blog content or getting our users to make content on Reddit, YouTube, or other social media platforms
- Finding unconventional distribution angles competitors aren’t using

What You’ll Own
- Identify high-intent keywords tied directly to how people discover our product
- Get pages to page one and then to #1
- Design and execute backlink strategies (manual outreach, partnerships, PR, creative angles)
- Build and optimize owned content (blog posts, landing pages, programmatic pages)
- Expand beyond “classic SEO” into YouTube, Reddit, communities, and alternative search surfaces
- Analyze competitors obsessively and reverse-engineer what’s working
- Track rankings, traffic, conversions, and impact not vanity metrics
- Run experiments fast, document learnings, iterate aggressively

What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years with SEO, but you are flexible-minded
- You are very competitive and always love metrics / numbers
- Proactive - you're always looking to improve and do the next step, instead of waiting for directions/instructions
- You will do what it takes to figure out problems
- Fluency with ChatGPT and AI tools to help with your workflow
