JOB OVERVIEW

We are a U.S.-based marketing and growth firm serving local service businesses, B2B companies, and professional services clients. We are looking for a strong SEO Content Strategist & Copywriter to join our growing team on a part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a larger role over time.

This is not a basic blog writing position. We need someone who can think strategically, write clearly, understand SEO, and help own the content engine across multiple client accounts.

You will help create SEO blogs, local SEO content, website copy, email copy, LinkedIn/thought leadership drafts, case study drafts, PR drafts, ad copy, and content calendars.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

• Keyword research, including local SEO, long-tail keywords, buyer-intent keywords, and competitor gap analysis.
• Monthly content calendars submitted for review and approval.
• SEO blog writing, including educational blogs, local SEO posts, service-area content, comparison posts, FAQs, and thought leadership drafts.
• Meta titles, meta descriptions, suggested slugs, H1s, H2s, FAQs, and internal link suggestions for every post.
• Internal linking recommendations across client blog libraries and service pages.
• Competitor content analysis to identify topic gaps and ranking opportunities.
• Website copy updates for homepages, service pages, landing pages, FAQs, and CTAs.
Email copy, including newsletters, campaigns, and simple sequences.
• Ad copy drafts for Google Ads, Meta, and LinkedIn.
• Landing page copy.
• Case study drafts.
• PR drafts.
• LinkedIn articles and thought leadership drafts.
• Caption drafts when needed.
• Creative briefs for designers, video editors, and social media managers.
• Content repurposing, including turning long-form blogs into social snippets, email hooks, and ad copy.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Strong command of written American English.
• Clear, polished, professional writing style.
• Solid understanding of search intent, on-page SEO, and local SEO.
• Experience with keyword research and SEO content planning.
• Experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Surfer, Frase, Clearscope, or similar tools.
• Comfortable using AI writing tools responsibly while still producing original, accurate, human-quality work.
• Comfortable with Google Docs, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
• Able to write in multiple brand voices across different industries.
• Self-directed and organized.
• Experience writing for U.S. audiences and U.S.-based businesses strongly preferred.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience working with a marketing agency.
• Experience writing for local service businesses, professional services, SaaS, real estate, mortgage, legal, healthcare, home services, or B2B companies.
• Familiarity with HubSpot, GoHighLevel, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, or email platforms.
• Basic understanding of paid ads copy.

WHAT TO EXPECT WEEKLY:

Depending on complexity, you may work on:
• Daily blog drafts.
• Keyword research for upcoming posts.
• Monthly or weekly content calendar updates.
• Meta titles and descriptions for all drafts.
• Internal link suggestions.
• Website copy updates.
• 5-10 social, ad, or email copy snippets repurposed from existing content.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY:
This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position as the team expands. We are looking for a long-term tea ---------- mber, not a one-off freelancer.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please include:
• A short introduction about your SEO and content writing experience.
• 2-3 writing samples, ideally SEO blogs, website copy, or business content.
• A brief explanation of how you approach keyword research and SEO blog structure.
• The SEO tools you have used.
• Your hourly rate and weekly availability.
• The phrase "Caliber Content" at the top of your application so we know you read this post carefully.
