Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Schedule: 20 hours per week

About The Role

GymSets is looking for an organised and proactive SEO Backlink & Outreach Specialist to help grow the authority and organic visibility of our website.

This role is focused specifically on finding high-quality backlink opportunities and converting those opportunities into genuine backlinks.

You will use tools such as SEMrush to analyse competitors including other major gym equipment retailers, identify websites worth contacting, find the correct contact person and carry out personalised outreach.

This is not a role for generating thousands of low-quality links. We are looking for real websites, publications, fitness websites, buying guides, blogs, journalists, gyms and relevant businesses that could genuinely reference GymSets.

Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse competitor backlinks using SEMrush.
- Identify high-quality websites linking to competitors but not GymSets.
- Review each backlink opportunity and d ---------- whether it is worth pursuing.
- Find contact names, email addresses and other relevant contact information.
- Research why the website linked to a competitor and determine the best angle for GymSets.
- Send personalised outreach emails to website owners, editors, journalists and other relevant contacts.
- Send follow-up emails where appropriate.
- Build relationships with websites that may provide repeat backlink opportunities.
- Look for unlinked GymSets mentions and request links where suitable.
- Find relevant product review, buying guide, guest contribution and PR opportunities.
- Maintain an accurate outreach journal showing every conversation and opportunity.
- Track when backlinks have been secured and confirm when they are live.
- Report results at the end of each working day.

- Fitness and gym websites
- Health and fitness publications
- Product review websites
- Buying guides
- Newspapers and magazines
- Sports websites
- Gyms and personal training studios
- Universities, schools and sports organisations
- Relevant businesses and partners
- Genuine blogs with real audiences
- Journalists covering fitness, retail or gym equipment

We are not interested in spam websites, PBN networks, automated directories, casino/crypto websites or low-quality backlink farms.

Daily Reporting:

At the end of each shift you will report:

- New backlink prospects found
- New outreach emails sent
- Follow-up emails sent
- Total emails sent
- Replies received
- Positive replies
- Negative replies
- Backlinks secured
- Backlinks confirmed live
- Opportunities currently in progress
- Emails remaining in the inbox

All work will be tracked through our organised Google Sheets backlink and outreach system.

What We Are Looking For

You should be:
- Very organised
- Good at online research
- Comfortable using Google Sheets
- Confident writing professional English emails
- Able to personalise outreach rather than sending generic spam
- Comfortable following up with contacts
- Able to judge whether a website looks genuine and worthwhile
- Consistent with recording all activity
- Comfortable working independently
- Interested in SEO and link building

- Experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, backlink research, digital PR or SEO outreach is highly desirable.

Expected Outcome:
The objective of the role is to consistently create a pipeline of high-quality backlink opportunities and turn those opportunities into new referring domains for GymSets.

We care much more about securing backlinks from genuine, relevant and authoritative websites than simply generating a large number of links.
