About the Role
The SEO Account Specialist plays a vital role on our team, owning the day-to-day execution of client SEO campaigns from start to finish. You'll work across a roster of clients in the home services space and be responsible for driving real, measurable results — not just activity metrics.

Here's what autonomy actually looks like at our company: you won't have someone breathing down your neck every hour. We trust the people we hire to get the job done. What you WILL have is a regular, structured meeting cadence with the owner to align on project timelines, flag any blockers, and set priorities for the week ahead. We believe in giving our people space to do their best work — but we move fast, communicate clearly, and expect you to do the same.

As we continue to grow, this role has a clear path toward a management position where you'll oversee other specialists, influence operations, and help shape the future of the team.

What You'll Own
On-Page SEO
Optimize headings (H1–H4), meta titles, and meta descriptions across client websites
Write and update body copy aligned with target keywords and conversion goals
Identify structural issues, keyword gaps, and content opportunities on client sites

Google Business Profile (GBP) Optimization
Manage and optimize GBP categories, services, and products for each client
Maintain a consistent posting cadence: 2 photo posts per week per client, 1 Update per week per client
Spot opportunities for profile improvements that drive map pack visibility

Analytics & Tracking
Set up and maintain Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — you must be an expert here, not just familiar
Build out Google Tag Manager (GTM) configurations including triggers, tags, and conversion tracking
Ensure clean data flows across all client accounts — if the tracking is wrong, the decisions are wrong

Reporting & Client Management
Own and update SEO Master Sheets for each client, keeping data current and accurate
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement across client websites, GBPs, and overall SEO health
Flag blockers, risks, or delays early — never go radio silent on an issue

AI-Assisted Execution
Leverage AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to improve output quality and workflow efficiency
Craft effective prompts that produce accurate, assumption-free responses — vague prompts produce garbage; we expect precision
Use AI as a force multiplier, not a crutch — your judgment still drives the work

You don't just know Local SEO — you've done the work and have case studies. You can look at a client's GBP, website, or analytics setup and immediately know what's broken, what's missing, and what will move the needle. You don't need your hand held on the fundamentals, and you don't guess when you don't know — you find the answer.

Radically Reliable
If you say you'll do something, it gets done. Deadlines aren't suggestions. Client deliverables aren't afterthoughts. You're the kind of person your teammates and your boss can count on without having to check in. Reliability at this company isn't a bonus trait — it's table stakes.

Completely Honest
We don't want yes-people. If something's going wrong, we want to know immediately — not after it's blown up. If you made a mistake, own it fast and come with a fix. If a client's expectations are unrealistic, speak up. Dishonesty and spin have no place here, and neither does silence when you know something's off.

Highly Communicative
This is a remote role. That means communication is your lifeline. You will have regular check-ins with the owner to discuss what's in progress, what's blocked, and what's coming next. Outside of those meetings, you're expected to be proactively communicative — not waiting to be asked. Quick Slack message when something's done. A heads-up when you're behind. A question before you go down a rabbit hole. Silence is not professionalism here; it's a red flag.

What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years in an SEO role within a digital agency setting
Deep expertise in Local SEO fundamentals: on-page, off-page, and GBP optimization
Expert-level Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager skills — must be verifiable
Proven experience with AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and effective prompt engineering
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — you can explain complex things clearly
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills across multiple client accounts
Self-motivated and growth-oriented — you want to be great, not just good enough
