SEO / AEO Assistant / Specialist
Reports to: Director of SEO & AEO
Department: Professional Marketing Services
Location: Remote (Global Team Collaboration)


About the Role
PMG360 is seeking a highly organized and detail-focused SEO / AEO Specialist to support the execution of search visibility strategies for B2B clients.
This role works closely with the Director of SEO & AEO to improve client visibility across traditional search engines, AI-powered search platforms, answer engines, and structured content environments. The position combines research, content optimization, technical SEO support, and performance reporting.
The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in SEO, a strong analytical mindset, and an interest in how AI is transforming search and digital discovery.


Key Responsibilities
SEO Research and Analysis
• Conduct keyword research and search opportunity analysis
• Perform competitor SEO benchmarking and SERP analysis
• Identify ranking opportunities and content gaps
• Support topic cluster planning and search-driven content strategies
• Assist with research related to AI search visibility and answer engine presence
Content Optimization
• Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, and page structure
• Improve heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) and on-page content organization
• Implement internal linking strategies to strengthen topical authority
• Support structured data and schema markup implementation
• Develop structured FAQ content designed for search and answer engines
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
• Format content for extraction by AI-powered search platforms
• Create concise, structured answers for improved visibility in AI summaries and search features
• Support entity optimization and knowledge graph relevance
• Monitor AI search citations and answer placements where applicable
Technical SEO Support
• Assist with technical SEO audits and crawl analysis
• Identify indexing issues, crawl errors, and site structure problems
• Support recommendations related to Core Web Vitals and page speed improvements
• Document technical findings for internal teams or client development teams
Campaign and Content Implementation
• Support SEO implementation across marketing campaigns
• Optimize blog content, landing pages, and supporting assets
• Apply SEO and AEO best practices across content deliverables
• Assist with publishing workflows and content quality checks
Reporting and Performance Tracking
• Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic trends, and search visibility metrics
• Assist with weekly and monthly performance reports
• Track featured snippets, answer engine placements, and AI search visibility
• Identify opportunities for further optimization and growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or content optimization
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and search ranking factors
• Experience with keyword research and SEO analysis tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment


Preferred Experience
• Experience working with B2B marketing or demand generation teams
• Exposure to SaaS, technology, or professional services industries
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or HubSpot
• Knowledge of schema markup and structured data
• Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog
• Interest or experience with AI search platforms and answer engine optimization


What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
• Contribute to keyword research and search opportunity analysis
• Implement on-page SEO improvements across client content
• Support structured content and FAQ development for AEO initiatives
• Assist with reporting and SEO performance tracking
• Help scale SEO and AEO processes across multiple campaigns
