JOB OVERVIEW

HOURS: Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sydney Time (AEDT).

ABOUT THE ROLE: KF Plastics is a leading plastic fabrication company in Sydney. We are looking for the "Voice" of our company. You will manage our digital front desk, handling an even split of inbound calls and email enquiries. We do NOT want a silent data entry clerk. We need a confident, fast learner who can quote standard products instantly and act as a "Technical Gatekeeper" for complex engineering jobs.

YOUR MISSION:

1. Email & Operations (70% of your day):

Inbox Zero: Reply to emails within minutes, not hours.

Quoting: Process standard quote requests from our website using our pricing tools.

Follow-Up: Call customers 48 hours after a quote is sent to check if they are ready to proceed.

Logistics: Book couriers (Shippit) and ensure customers get their tracking numbers.

2. Phone & Technical Support (30% of your day):

Answer Inbound Calls: You are the first person customers speak to. You must sound professional, friendly, and Australian-business-ready.

Technical Triage: You will handle questions about material availability and standard cuts. For complex engineering questions, you act as the gatekeeper—gathering the specs and passing them to our Engineering Team.

Close the Sale: Use our internal "Calculator" to quote Cut-to-Size jobs instantly and take payment over the phone.

REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent Spoken English: You must have a clear, neutral accent and be confident speaking on the phone with Australian tradespeople and engineers.

Technical Aptitude: You don't need to be an engineer, but you must be able to learn the difference between "Acrylic" and "Polycarbonate" quickly. If you have sold technical or industrial products before, tell us!

"Closer" Mindset: You are comfortable asking: "Would you like to pay for that now so we can start production?"
KPI is quote follow-up rate and conversion

Tech Savvy: Fast learner on HubSpot, Xero, Google Sheets, and VoIP tools.

Must have experience with Australian clients specifically, not just general English

Must be available on Australian business hours with stable internet and headset

experience in manufacturing, trade, or industrial sales is highly regarded
