About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) based in the Philippines to join our remote sleep medicine team.
This position is primarily focused on scoring and reviewing sleep studies performed in the United States. The ideal candidate has strong experience with polysomnography scoring, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Score and review polysomnography (PSG) sleep studies according to current AASM scoring standards.
Score sleep stages, arousals, respiratory events, oxygen desaturations, limb movements, and cardiac events.
Review study data for accuracy, completeness, and technical quality.
Calculate and verify relevant sleep study parameters such as AHI, RDI, and TST.
Identify artifacts and potential technical issues in recorded studies.
Complete scoring within established turnaround times and quality standards.
Make corrections when needed based on quality review or feedback.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
Communicate professionally with the US-based sleep team regarding study questions or discrepancies.
Participate in quality assurance and inter-scorer reliability activities as required.
Requirements
Current RPSGT certification is required.
Previous hands-on experience scoring PSG studies.
Strong knowledge of AASM scoring rules and terminology.
Experience scoring adult sleep studies.
Ability to accurately identify sleep stages, arousals, respiratory events, desaturations, and limb movements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent scoring quality.
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable home-based workstation.
Willingness to work US hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience scoring studies for US-based sleep laboratories.
Experience with both diagnostic and therapeutic PSG studies.
Experience with CPAP/BiPAP titration scoring.
Familiarity with sleep scoring software.
Experience with quality assurance or inter-scorer reliability processes.
