A new physical therapy practice seeking an experienced coordinator to help establish reliable front office workflows from the start. We need someone who can recognize coverage and scheduling issues, follow them through to resolution, and help the team build sound processes.
Responsibilities

- Submit and follow up on prior authorization requests. Track approved visits, effective dates, expiration dates, and requests for additional visits.
- Alert the team promptly when coverage, referrals, or authorizations could affect a scheduled visit.
- Schedule initial evaluations and follow-up visits according to therapist availability and the patient’s plan of care. Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and waitlists.
- Answer patient and referral-source calls professionally, assist with scheduling and administrative questions, and route clinical questions to a licensed clinician.
- Maintain accurate patient, insurance, referral, authorization, and scheduling information in the practice management system.
- Help develop clear, repeatable procedures for verification, authorization tracking, scheduling, and phone coverage as the practice grows.
- Protect patient information and follow the company’s privacy and security procedures.
Required qualifications
- Prior experience with physical therapy insurance verification, benefits, authorizations, and patient scheduling.
- Working knowledge of common physical therapy payer requirements, including visit limits and authorization tracking.
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, accuracy, and patient service skills.
