We are a growing, multi-location U.S.-based service company seeking an experienced Remote Operations Manager to lead our day-to-day operations and manage a remote support team.

We need a strong Operations Leader who can manage people, improve systems, monitor performance, solve operational problems and hold tea
THE ROLE
You will report directly to the CEO and lead tea
1. Operations
2. Workforce scheduling and service coverage
3. Recruiting
4. Employee onboarding and retention
5. Process documentation and SOP management
YOUR PRIMARY MISSION
Build and maintain a reliable operations department where:
Clients consistently receive the services they are scheduled to receive.
Staffing needs are anticipated and resolved before they become emergencies.
Employees complete onboarding correctly and remain engaged.
Operational scorecards are accurate and reviewed consistently.
Tea
Processes are documented, followed and continuously improved.
Problems are solved without unnecessary CEO involvement.
YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership and Accountability:
Lead and manage the operations team
Lead weekly one-on-one meetings with each direct report.
Run a focused and well-organized weekly operations meeting.
Review scorecards and address underperforming results.
Set clear expectations, owners, deadlines, and definitions of completion.
Hold tea
Coach strong employees and address poor performance directly.
Give clear, respectful, and timely feedback.
Operational Management:
Review staffing gaps, coverage risks, new client launches, and hiring capacity.
Coordinate scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, and administration.
Conduct capacity planning based on current and forecasted demand.
Identify operational risks before they become emergencies.
Escalate major risks promptly while independently resolving routine problems.
Improve communication and handoffs between departments.
Performance and Process Improvement:
Determine the root cause of repeated operational failures.
Simplify workflows that have become unnecessarily complicated.
Create, improve, and maintain SOPs, checklists, and operating procedures.
Monitor KPIs, scorecards, and operational reports.
Develop improvement plans when results fall below expectations.
Provide the CEO with concise updates, clear recommendations, and accurate data.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You may be a strong fit if you have:
At least three years of operations management or team-management experience
Experience managing multiple departments or remote tea
Strong accountability and performance-management skills
Experience leading one-on-ones and weekly tea
Experience creating or improving SOPs and workflows
Confidence interpreting KPIs, scorecards, and operational reports
Excellent spoken and written English
Strong judgment and problem-solving ability
The ability to give clear, direct, and respectful feedback
Exceptional organization, follow-through, and calendar discipline
Experience working directly with a CEO, founder, or senior executive
The ability to operate independently without waiting for step-by-step instructions
Experience in a recurring-service, field-service, staffing, scheduling, or people-intensive business is preferred but not required.
This role is not a fit if you:
Avoid difficult accountability conversations.
Need repeated reminders to complete commitments.
Struggle to follow your own schedule or priorities.
Create complicated systems when a simple process would work.
Wait for the CEO to identify and solve every operational problem.
Focus on being busy instead of producing measurable results.
WORKING ARRANGEMENT:
Approximately 40 hours per week, Long-term opportunity
U.S. Central Time business hours required
Regular video meetings with the CEO and operations team
Reliable high-speed internet, a professional workspace and backup internet or power required
Higher compensation may be considered for an exceptional candidate with substantial operations-management experience and demonstrated leadership capability. Payment Schedule: Paid twice monthly.
