About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical CAD Designer with strong experience in Autodesk Fusion 360. This is a full-time remote position where you will work on a variety of mechanical design projects, ranging from early-stage concept development to production-ready manufacturing drawings.
You will collaborate closely with the project lead to design, refine, and prepare parts for prototyping and manufacturing. This role requires both creative problem-solving and precise technical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Your work will vary depending on project stage and requirements:
* Mechanical Design & Development
* Create detailed 3D CAD models using Fusion 360
* Design functional mechanical components and assemblies
* Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency
* Apply engineering principles to ensure performance and durability
* Concept Design & Rendering
* Develop concept designs from rough ideas or sketches
* Produce high-quality renders for visualization and presentation
* Iterate designs based on feedback and evolving requirements
* Manufacturing & Fabrication Drawings
* Generate accurate 2D technical drawings from 3D models
* Include dimensions, tolerances, materials, and finishes
* Prepare files suitable for CNC machining, laser cutting, 3D printing, etc.
* Ensure drawings meet manufacturing standards and best practices
* Collaboration & Review
* Submit designs for review and implement revisions efficiently
* Communicate clearly regarding design decisions and trade-offs
* Maintain organized project files and version control
Required Skills & Experience:
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Fusion 360 (non-negotiable)
* Proven experience in mechanical design
* Solid understanding of:
* Mechanical systems and components
* Design for manufacturing (DFM)
* Materials and fabrication processes
* Ability to create:
* Clean, parametric CAD models
* Production-ready technical drawings
* Experience with rendering tools within Fusion 360 or similar
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Good written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred (Nice to Have):
* Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, or fabrication workflows
* Knowledge of tolerancing, fits, and engineering standards
* Experience working with prototypes and iterative design cycles
* Basic understanding of electronics enclosures or product design
* Familiarity with version control or file management systems
What We’re Looking For:
* Someone who can think like an engineer, not just model parts
* A proactive problem solver who can suggest improvements
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Willingness to learn and adapt to different types of projects
* Consistent, reliable, and responsive communicator
What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day:
* Designing parts for review prior to prototyping
* Updating and refining designs based on feedback
* Producing fabrication-ready drawings
* Creating concept models and renders for new ideas
Application Requirements:
To be considered, please include:
1. A portfolio of your previous CAD work (Fusion 360 preferred)
2. Examples of:
* Mechanical parts/assemblies
* Technical drawings
* Rendered concepts
3. A brief description of your experience with manufacturing processes
4. Your internet speed and computer specifications
How to Apply:
Please apply through OnlineJobs.ph with the required portfolio and details listed above. Applications without examples of work will not be considered.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in precision, understands real-world engineering constraints, and enjoys turning ideas into manufacturable designs.
