Company Name: Storyteller Media Team

----------
Position: Remote Marketing Research & Strategy Assistant
Location: 100% Remote
Start Date: ASAP

About Us

Storyteller Media Team helps service-based businesses generate more qualified leads and sales through strategic video content, paid ads, and marketing systems.

We work with businesses that want more than just “nice-looking content.” We focus on strategies that actually help them grow - including better offers, stronger ad angles, smarter lead forms, and more effective creative ideas.

We’re growing and looking for a highly detail-oriented Marketing Research & Strategy Assistant who can help us stay sharp on what’s working in the market.

If you love research, pattern recognition, marketing psychology, and spotting winning ideas before everyone else does - this role is for you.

About the Role:

This is a backend research and strategy support role inside a marketing company.

You will not be responsible for running ad campaigns directly. Instead, your job is to help our team make better strategic decisions by researching what is currently working in the market across different industries.

You’ll work closely with the founder to help identify:

strong ad angles
winning offers
useful lead form strategies
competitor patterns
trending content ideas
creative concepts we can test for client campaigns

This role is for someone who can do more than just collect random information. We need someone who can organize findings clearly, identify patterns, and turn research into actionable ideas.

Responsibilities:

Research top-performing ads across service-based industries using platforms like Meta Ads Library, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and competitor pages

Break down winning ads by:

hook
offer
CTA
format/style
messaging angle
why it may be working

Research high-converting offers by industry:

free consultation
free inspection
limited-time deals
financing offers
same-day service offers
seasonal promotions
and similar local business offers

Research and recommend lead form questions that balance:

conversion rate
lead quality
low friction vs qualification

Track social media and ad creative trends, including:

content styles
hook structures
editing styles
CTA trends
promotional angles
seasonal ideas

Research competitors and summarize:

what they are doing well
what offers they are pushing
what messaging they repeat
where the opportunities are

Compile organized weekly research reports in Google Docs and/or spreadsheets

Present findings in a clear way so our team can actually use the ideas

Must-Haves:

Strong English communication (written is especially important)

Strong research ability and attention to detail

Ability to summarize findings clearly and organize them in a useful format

Understanding of marketing fundamentals such as:

hooks
offers
direct response
lead generation
ad creatives
CTAs

Familiarity with platforms like:

Facebook
/ Instagram
Meta Ads Library
TikTok
YouTube
Google Docs / Sheets

Ability to identify patterns instead of just dumping information

Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

Preferred (Strong Plus):

Experience working in a marketing agency or with local/service-based businesses

Experience researching ads, offers, creative trends, or competitor strategies

Basic knowledge of paid ads, direct response marketing, or social media strategy

Experience supporting a founder, strategist, or media buying team

Understanding of home service or local business marketing

Please Do NOT Apply If:

You have no understanding of marketing, offers, or advertising psychology

You can gather information but struggle to explain what actually matters

Your English writing is not strong enough to present clear research summaries

You need constant supervision to complete simple tasks

You miss details often or submit messy, unorganized work

You are looking for a media buying role where you will manage campaigns directly

You are juggling too many other roles and won’t be consistent or responsive

What You Get:

Flexible remote schedule

Opportunity to grow into a longer-term strategic support role

Direct collaboration with founder

Hands-on exposure to real client marketing strategy across multiple industries

A fast-moving team focused on helping businesses grow

How to Apply:

Before we schedule interviews, I’d love to get a quick Loom video from you so I can understand how you think, communicate, and break down marketing ideas.

Please record a 3–5 minute Loom answering the questions below:

Tell me about yourself and your experience with marketing research, ad research, or strategy support.
What experience do you have researching winning ads, offers, or competitors?
What platforms or tools do you use to find strong ad ideas and trends?
If I asked you to research the best ad angles and offers for a roofing company, how would you approach it?
How would you organize your findings so a marketing team could actually use them?
Why do you want to work with Storyteller Media Team, and why do you think you’d be a good fit?

Send your application to:

----------

Please include:

Your Loom link
Your resume / portfolio if available
Your timezone
Your weekly availability
A short note on your experience with ad research, competitor research, or marketing strategy support

If it looks like a fit, we’ll reach out to schedule an interview.

Looking forward to seeing your video.
