About the Role
We manage residential rentals in Illinois and need a detail-oriented coordinator to fill vacancies with qualified tenants. You will run listings, screen applicants against written criteria, and schedule tours with our on-site maintenance tech, who gives the showings.
Screening Workflow (you will follow this exactly)
Post: List on
Respond: Reply to every inquiry within 2 hours using our message template, which includes the requirements and 3 pre-screen questions: move-in date, number of occupants, and monthly income.
Pre-screen: Applicants who clear those answers get a short phone call to confirm basics, pets, and rental history.
Tour: Book qualified leads with the maintenance tech through the shared calendar / whatsapp. Confirm 24 hours ahead.
Apply: After the tour, send the applicant a link to our screening platform (Avail, RentPrep, or TransUnion SmartMove). The applicant pays the fee and authorizes the credit, criminal, and eviction checks.
Verify: Confirm income (pay stubs or offer letter), employment by phone, and contact the previous two landlords.
Report: Send the owner a one-page summary of each applicant with a pass/fail against the criteria. The owner makes the final decision.
Credit reports and SSNs stay inside the screening platform only.
