JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

Laurel Bay Capital is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong U.S. tax knowledge to join our growing team. This role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with U.S. accounting systems, bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.

This is a remote position for someone who can work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities
Maintain and manage QuickBooks accounting records
Perform bookkeeping and account reconciliations
Assist with U.S. tax preparation and organization of tax documents
Process and manage U.S. payroll
Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate records
Analyze financial data using Excel
Ensure compliance with U.S. accounting, tax, and payroll requirements
Assist with other accounting and financial tasks as needed

Requirements
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper
Experience with U.S. Tax (required)
Experience preparing or assisting with 1040, 1065, or 1120 returns
Strong experience using QuickBooks
Strong Excel skills
Experience handling U.S. payroll
Excellent attention to detail
Strong English communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with U.S. accounting firms or U.S.-based clients
Experience with tax preparation software
Experience with financial reporting and analysis
