Remote Bookkeeper (Part-Time, EST Hours)
Location: Remote – Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Start between 7:00–9:00 AM EST | 4–5 hours/day
Compensation: $15–$20/hour based on experience | Paid weekly
About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a highly motivated Remote Bookkeeper to join a lean, fast-moving team in the home services industry. This is a permanent, part-time role ideal for a detail-oriented, self-sufficient professional who can work independently while supporting leadership with timely financial reports that drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Record daily transactions and reconcile bank activity using QuickBooks Online
- Compile and send daily financial summary reports (by 9:00 AM EST) to internal leadership
- Manage and update Excel-based job costing reports
- Track and report payments by method (cash, check, financing, etc.)
- Input contract totals from sales closed the previous day
- Organize and enter installer crew activity and purchase orders
- Interface with operations team via Slack and submit End-of-Day (EOD) reports
- Maintain a consistent, dependable reporting cadence
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Daily user of QuickBooks Online – able to work without hand-holding
- Fluent in English with strong written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel for building, maintaining, and analyzing reports
- Experience working remotely with independent time management
- Dependable internet connection and a quiet, professional home office setup
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Salesforce or Lead Perfection CRM platforms
- Familiarity with job costing methods and contractor/vendor purchase tracking
- Prior experience supporting businesses in the home improvement or services sector
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (not required if experienced)
Work Environment & Tools
- Communication: Slack (you will be onboarded to the workspace)
- Daily Reporting: Submit morning summaries and EOD logs via internal systems
- Supervision: Minimal – must be dependable, accountable, and self-driven
- Team Size: 5 total, including owners and a department manager
- Measurement: Your performance will be tracked using clear, agreed-upon KPIs
